As a, light skinned Latinx, I will say there are times it sucks being that because like lots of minorities it comes at you from both sides.

So, Titus Andronicus then?

Kemper was 19 years old when she was selected to be the Queen Of Love And Beauty. At that age, teenagers are mature enough to know what they’re being part of.

“The Veiled Prophet crowns the Queen of Love and Beauty” sounds like a Bioshock:Infinite subplot

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that someone who was crowned “most fuckable of her barely legal peers” by a bunch of old men was probably not thinking hard about any of the implications involved.

Right. I for one am not excited about the “Back To the Future” prequel in which we learn that Biff was actually a performance artist who, through the medium of bullying, was working to deconstruct the patriarchy.

“...learn a lesson about being more particular when choosing who they work with. maybe it’ll help convince those people and systems to change if they know that there are financial stakes to who they work with in addition to the ethical ones.”

The villain nightclub situation sounds similar to the superhero bar episode of The Tick.

he injected himself into exactly one thing, which was a movie he was the co-star of...

I believe he was singled out because he presented himself as a better, more enlightened person than he really is

Disney without kids is - no exaggeration - an entirely different experience. It’s not even the same place.

Exactly. That’s why Iron Man the comic only had only 10 issues.

Not that it will prevent AVClub to regularly urge its readers to financially support Amazon, of course. Any good deals on Amazon lately ? Anything we “won’t regret dropping money on” ? Any particular commission G/O Media may get if we enrich Bezos at the expense of his slaves ?

The VB needle drop I always think of is "Everybody's Free" from the 2nd season premiere.

Now playing

I like this one, though I don't know if it's a "mic drop" moment or whatever, it fits the scene well at least:

Look at the comments on the linked article and you might understand why people tend not to name names

He fought a bear!

I always thought it was odd he lived in that dream house, with a beautiful wife, a son who owns a factory and lobster for dinner.. Meanwhile I live in a single room over a bowling alley and under another bowling alley.

For all the US’ problems, Europe usually wins out in the open racism/transphobia department. They just don’t arm their cops.

Definitely the best episode I can think of, especially the supremely catchy earworm “Is you is, or is you ain’t my baby” from Louis Jordan.
