Well I think I may have simplified the reason i've heard a little too much.
SO NOT COOL.
Firstly, it's *REAL* sounds, which happen to pass through what amounts to an equalizer with presets dependent on what driving mode you're in.
It is sort of a pain for my dad when he has to pull the entire 3rd row up out of the floor and leave it in the garage when he wants to go haul stuff with his 8.1L Beast of a 2001 Suburban 2500.
Same reason Cadillac makes their headlights stream all the way up the hood/fender now:
"...Open your eyes..."
I live in southern idaho and I've seen at least 20 or so in the last month, only 5 or 6 of which had dealer plates, the rest were registered & everything already.
