I would dig a car with similar styling.

just move the rear lights up 4 inches and it would fix the worst thing about it.

I do like this and I want more

I feel like by the time a third article comes out about this car, the taillights won’t bother people that much. It’s really not that big of a departure or outright design flaw (unless the signal lights are wacky), it’s just a unique design that I think does fit with the aesthetic they’re going for.

It could be exactly the same style, just with the lights up into the next panel and it would look great.

lol, the Hyundai Pony Coupe concept the N74 is based on came out like 20 years before the first BMW 8 Series. You’re wrong by like two decades.

I love (most of) it.

I like the front. Bold, different, and right.

If you’re able to get in touch with the designer or engineer, can you ask why they put the taillights there? It’s a great design, flawed by that peculiar choice.

I thought about the Flex design the other day and I think that is the perfect SUV design. Boxy to accommodate more room, not overly tall or big. It was basically a stretched Sion XB and that was a good thing...now I don’t know how it drove, but from a design perspective I liked it.

I actually like/don’t mind most of it, but the rear taillight placement is horrendous. Fix that and I give it thumbs up.

Looking like that may happen pretty soon...

Looks like a pretty sweet update to the Flex. The rear isn’t going to be everyone’s favorite in design language, but it is certainly polarizing. Some decent chunks of blind spot on the sides in the back, too. Those look a bit more weird on the tan? copper? colored model.

Right down to the metallic window panel thingies.

This redesigned Santa Fe came as a really pleasant surprise. Hyundai has been killing it in the design department lately, though they seem to have trouble coming up with a clear corporate design theme for all of their recent models.

gotta say.... I really appreciate how hyundai and kia really take opposite design languages and deliver some really cool stuff off the same platform to cover the likes of different consumers... in the past they were so similar, that it was like why bother, but now they cover a pretty broad range. I appreciate them

There’s too much Lincoln Navigator going on with those alloys. They need to lean into the boxy styling a bit more and do it proud with some sick 80's Isuzu Impulse wheels.

Overall I like it. Tail lights are too low for my liking but I can see how they wanted them to end at the fender crease, any higher and the end point doesn’t work or they extend too far along the side.

Looks like a low-poly Ford Flex

People: I hate SUVs that look like eggs!! Manufacturers should do something different!!

People when a manufacturer does something different: No, not like that.
