Always discouraging as someone hoping to work in the games industry someday to see keep seeing articles like this. I think this is an interesting example of a studio that might have treated its employees very differently if had stayed “indie” and not received so much funding.

Can’t wait to see Jim Sterling’s take on this hahaha

Yeah, these massive AAA companies always give managing their entire game database to the intern.

Are there really so few competent people in Seattle? lol

I found the combat to be pretty boring. Almost every enemy was quickly killed with my main character. His stats were much higher than any of my other party members, so there was rarely a need to switch. The combat also seems really easy. You can pretty much button mash any enemy and barely take any damage.

Please don’t change the OW1 graphics. OW2 is painfully cartoony. (And this is from someone who thinks Wind Waker is the best looking Zelda game.)

Imagine moderating that chat...

What..? Why would they fire the casters?

Oh man, that would be awesome if they rebooted Beast Wars.

The only elite thing about the Elite controller is the price.

Wiped my progress on PS4 this morning. When I try to log in now, it says servers are down.

Game devs should look at studios like Bungie. The Halo 2 Steelbook version had an extra DVD with behind the scenes footage of them making Halo 2. That is what I want--not some plushie or plastic statue that’s only going to collect dust on a shelf.

People need to get over spoilers. There’s no such thing as “going in fresh.” #whitepeopleproblems

Would be awesome if cons had napping rooms like that...or rooms with decent air conditioning.

I agree. The writing in BL2 in particular was cringey af

Despite whether or not this guy is a misogynist asshole, if I were in his shoes and got swarmed by fans wherever I went, I would probably want my online alias scrubbed from the game that made me famous, too.

I feel like remaking anything is too big of a task. I would never try to remake a game as revered as System Shock, Dark Souls, Elder Scrolls, etc. If a dev makes something “perfect” the first time, it seems like remastering it would always lead to disappointing results.

Looks like I picked the right week to rebuy an Xbox One instead of a Switch.

*insert meme from Airplane*

No matter how realistic the portrayals are, nothing will match reality. I know that makes me sound like some monk who’s high, but it’s true. Bethesda’s faces will never look real enough. DICE will run out of RAM before they can make a sun that looks as good as ours.

There is no substitute for hard work. Never give up. Never stop believing. Never stop fighting....never trust Patches.
