Also, anyone saying that "this is wasteful", but watches the Youtube video, is only contributing to ensure that more such videos will be made in the future.

Only when content like this ceases to be profitable will it end (probably, unless destroying gadgets really is the guy's passion lol). It's like a lot of other

Thing is, "everyone else" is shooting watermelons or water containers or ballistic gel or skittles or coins.

This is Rated RR's "niche", shooting up tech gadgets, and in the hyper competitive Youtube content creation space, the folks who corner a niche tend to earn more of "that google/Youtube money" (for gaming: think

Most of the Witcher trailers/cinematics were great:

Hehe. One could probably put most/all of Blur Studios' trailers on here. :D
(not sure about the DA2 trailer if it's still by them, tho', as I think Bioware/EA was also using another studio for some of their cinematics)

Also, I wish the in-game characters in DA:O resembled those from the Sacred Ashes trailer better (or

Yup. I LOVED this trailer. I haven't played a HALO game since the first one (only PC, never had an XBox/360), but I keep an eye on their trailers. This, for me, is still the best one. :)

Yeah. That one was great, but the teaser, I think, was more goosebump inducing.

Nova as a playable character would be nice... :D

Yup. Most of his stuff (the "WTF is..." videos) are "first-impression" videos. Some do end up practically being reviews (I think his Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons "WTF is..." qualifies as a "review", and, if memory serves, when asked whether it was or not, he replied that it was).

I disagree. IMHO, there's room for games that are designed to be parts of a larger/longer story (that's hopefully designed that way from the very start).

seeing "to be continued" may suck, but if it will lead to a great experience, overall...why not?

Most I've ever spent is probably the $140 I gave for Shadowrun Returns (all the other kickstarters I gave lower. I think the next highest is $80 for Warmachine Tactics).

yup. they were all relatively small (but, still, the battleships are close to 1km). the largest ships were always the transports, I think (and, unlike the Death Star, I think the fortresses, like Iserlohn, don't count as they're basically immobile)

what they don't make up for size, tho', they make up in capabilities

yeah, Start 8 or something (and some other programs), as well as Sins of A Solar Empire and Elemental/Fallen Enchantress. Same company.

lol. yeah.
I was watching the video and was wondering: how would you LARP Blood Bowl? Wouldn't that be boring? (if you follow the boardgame rules)

Then I saw weapons...and Empire units w/ polearms. :D

Judging by the only words I understood (a Filipino cuss phrase at the end), they're speaking one of our dialects (don't ask me...I only speak Tagalog/Filipino, and even then, I consider English my primary language).

It's not just DotA, tho'. When I still frequented the local Internet/LAN cafes, it can get really loud,

I like the way the characters looked/were designed, but liking art design/aesthetic choice is completely subjective.

I also enjoy grimdark (WH40k and the like), cyberpunk stuff, and some anime (Ghost in the Shell), and various other stuff, but I can't expect everyone to like everything that I like.

considering the costs (lodging, hardware, player salaries, travel expenses, etc.), sponsors are necessary. I think totalbiscuit (owner, I think, of Axiom E-sports) recently stated something like the expenses of his team's participation (not sure where. Europe?) is going to cost something like $15k, if memory serves.

looks more like something from Hawken (or that Maschinen Krieger thingy) :)

It's a good game. It has issues here and there, and there are aspects where the original X-COM is still better, but it's still solid, IMHO.
I kinda liked the looks of XCOM:EU, and the gameplay is mostly good (some WTF is moments here and there, like missing when shooting point-blank, but that's the thing w/ turn-based
