Yeah. I get what they're going for, but, and maybe it's 'cause I'm getting old, I'm no longer a fan of that style of "armour".
That said, they are nicely done/crafted costumes. :)
(the colouring/painting of the armour pieces, tho', remind me of how one paints miniatures somehow, esp. the "washes". Nice effect, IMHO)
I only know of the one where you hit the Z key, but that's too close. Dunno if you can manually do it. Did a quick search and there's apparently a "zoom hack", but I dunno if Blizzard/Battle.net will flag that or something.
I recall enjoying the EVE Online book, The Empyrean Age, as it give insight into the politics of the major factions.
I got a copy of the second book, Burning Life, but I haven't gotten around to reading it. I might actually get a copy of Templar One, first, before starting on Burning Life, as the premise of that one…
I don't think I've ever read Pool of Radiance (I did play it, tho'), but I do recall enjoying Pools of Darkness (the game, too).
I like her from Chuck and she does look quite nice...but her in-game model (along w/ Jessica Chobot's) didn't "translate" well.
As others have mentioned: uncanny valley.
Homeworld has my vote :)
Those who backed it (or paid for early access, I think) can already play it.
It's looking pretty good, prior to the last update, but I think I'll wait for the 1.0 release build, as any progress will probably be lost, anyway. I haven't really played it since the last update, but I saw some posts saying that it's…
there were issues, like some that you've mentioned, and I did find myself wishing that the movie was shown at a higher frame rate (not that I've seen the Hobbit @ 48 fps, but, I dunno, it seemed like it would be better if it were of a higher frame rate).
That and the cuts/transitions, as seems to be the norm w/…

I imagine that it's case to case. If memory serves, Totalbiscuit's team, Axiom Esports, get salaries and get to keep all of their winnings. Dunno about the other teams, tho'.
hehehe. haven't seen that in a while. I do recall enjoying it, at the time.
re: kali/escrima/arnis
depends. there are "live stick" (same rattan sticks, maybe thinner) tournaments. participated in one, made the mistake of reflexively blocking w/ my forearm. :D
(needless to say: it got bruised lol...I did have some protection on it, since I supplemented the armor lent out for the tournament w/ my…
Same here. Then again, I haven't really followed any anime in years. It could be age...lol
Heh. There used to be a time when "any anime" would be ok to watch, as long as there was something to watch, and lists like this would probably have been amazing to me. That was the 90s, tho'.
I probably should really check out…
'cause of the legs? :P
TB explains it nicely, IMHO:
"TotalBiscuit @Totalbiscuit 4m
And there are those who would still argue that that "one" player "isn't a real woman" (if we're talking about Acer's Scarlett).
Anyone wanting to watch SC2 and enjoy it should probably avoid looking at Twitch chat.
But, yeah, the point still stands: in open events for SC2, women rarely do well.
Scarlett has, since 2012,…
This.
If I had to recommend just one thing, tho', it would be the original manga. The Man-machine Interface manga was interesting, too, but it didn't have the same "impact" as the original manga.
The manga, tho', may raise expectations for the other stuff (e.g., the movies and the SAC series), so I dunno which should be…
Yeah.
Also, I still dunno if the segregated thing was necessarily "bad" (at least for something like Starcraft 2, not too familiar w/ the other e-sports/games).
I think the key point for having a segregated event is to showcase/highlight the women progamers, with the goal of growing the women player base.
while I enjoyed the '90s movie (lol, I still have a Laserdisc copy...dunno if it still works, tho' lol), I think I preferred the SAC and SAC 2nd Gig material better. They "felt" closer to the original manga.
The GitS movies (including Innocence) felt "too serious". I enjoyed them, and the visuals of Innocence were…
