I’m typing this from a windows laptop so please forgive me, but I’d say that the integration between products within their ecosystem work more smoothly and reliably than their non-Apple counterparts. Not that they can’t work, but there’s typically a couple of extra steps.

I run an eGPU setup and I think I could still justify it. I could use the onboard 1650 for editing when away from the desk and then an eGPU for rendering and export.  You’re totally right, it does cannibalize the use case, but I live to enable purchases.

I feel like you stop noticing subtitles within like 3 minutes.  It only seems to be an issue when you’re watching movies at home and check your texts; it never seems like an issue in theaters.
