it still leaves him with two sons named Aegon, this is still silly

I think it’s much more pathetic that you can’t help but react to it negatively instead of leaving me alone and interact with people who agree with you.
Yeah, the show was great at the beginning when they followed the books more carefully, in plot as well as in pace. (There’s a reason it takes a whole season to get from Winterfell to King’s Landing in season one.)
Hm, nope. He has many grandsons (and further down the line) named after him but they’re cousins to one another, certainly not brothers.
About the show? Yes, very much so, I’ve never pretended otherwise. I care a lot about how they’re ruining their shot at making something culture-defining instead of going for the easy thrills of cheap epic fantasy the book series never indulged into.
Did they communicate as husband and wife? Did Lyanna never learn he already had a son called Aegon? Or are we assuming he gave her the go to reuse that name? What was the plan if it had been a girl, Rhaenys, too?
Oh, right, this is your place, not mine, sure
Rhaegar did.
I think so too (I like the theory than he may be a Blackfyre) but still, he goes by Aegon. That’s all it would take to make it silly to have two running around.
A stupid and reductive recommendation, and unasked for. I never condemned anyone for liking the show, and will stand for my right to enjoy thinking its trash in return. Dealing with a dissenting opinion without resorting to the Highs of Internet Discourse such as calling me an internet tough guy. It’s a hard concept,…
I’m glad we agree you are definitely not succeeding in being edgy on the internet pal
I don’t see how these would be mutually exclusive? It was painfully obvious that’s where they wanted to end up and they made up contrived story bits to get there, which instantly break upon inspection. So here you have both
Still doesn’t explain the point of that little game, other than to create a contrived red herring for the audience. Seriously, this helped to put LF on trial how?
Because in the books, Young Griff claims to be Aegon Targaryen. GRRM might indeed say that Jon’s real name is also Aegon but two living half-brothers having the same name strikes me as a comedy routine, and I don’t think it will be the case. I’m absolutely going for a Doylist explanation on this one, because yes…
I’m not deriding anyone for watching, this is amazing! I love watching this garbage.
Now that’s a good point.
oh hi pot this is kettle
“We know, George. We know.”
What outside the text knowledge am I using?
People were calling it because the show has become horrendously predictable.
