Certainly more obscure than Batman, there’s a comic book character out there that would be a perfect fit for Jon Hamm (and no entendre intended):

Ig is gone now, sadly. I haven’t seen Noel’s byline on much these days, save for the “What Was Your...”-style omnibus surveys.

Holy hell. Is this based on the Ian Frazier short story? Because that would be the only permutation of this Newswire that would generate my interest.

No more Reasonable Discussions, or is it merely late?

I have a narcissistic parent, and although it’s not as extreme as in Bart’s case, this parent has caused much family friction over the years. Aging changes many people, but indeed, not all. There’s no black and white in my experience.

Perhaps he has changed. Perhaps he is willing to talk to you under the terms you laid down. If you’re in a place to do so, I’d say talk to him, but with zero expectations of him paying off your debt. Pretend he never even said that to your relative. You can open a line of communication and still have the option to

Well, Close Encounters is all about the dad...but that not might be the most sterling example.

I realize that you’ve defined the terms to take subjectivity into large account, but off the top of my head, my list would definitely include:

It was produced by a company called Mystique. Atari took them to court to try to block it, and Atari notably didn’t want third parties publishing for the 2600 to begin with.

Two games come to mind: Computer Space, which came in unique cabinets of different colours, including red (you can find old ads online of models posing with the game, but I couldn’t find any with red):

Not directed at you Dr Mrs — I appreciate your comment — I’m rather startled by the hornet’s nest I seemed to have stirred up with what I thought was a rather innocuous comment, whether founded or not. Hereby resigning.

I know you, so the first part’s categorically incorrect.

I’m like a raging alcoholic for both literacy and ice cream.

‘Tis fine. Let’s go out for delicious butterscotch sundaes!  My treat.

Oddly enough I’m a small cog in a television network’s marketing machine, so I’m pretty aware of the trends and the cycles. Ribbing the people who engage with you online is certainly common; I’m more taken by the implied suggestion, however gentle, that there’s something a bit off with you if you engage with a product
