Oh, I'd love compulsory voting but we're too driven by negative rights for that to take a hold in the US. Obviously the biggest issue would be rural voters, but access to voting for them should be a priority regardless.
I never understand why people don't turn out in mid-term elections. Voting, for me, is a pretty sacred duty. Also—let's do day of registration and make election day a federal holiday and allow anyone to vote in any precinct in their district. But that's a whole different post.
