Not just 88, 18 (Adolf Hitler) is also a favourite, as we used to (I’d like to hope they’ve all grown up by now) have Combat18 in the UK.
However, I suspect now we’ve cracked their ingenious code, I’m assuming they’ve all scattered like cockroaches (I await the formation of Wombat29)

I’d have a word with your parents though - clearly creating what they saw as the leader of the 4th Reich.

I’ve got same CPU and res as you, but two 770s...
I mean I *want* a 1080... it’s faster, but can’t justify the upgrade as pretty much everything I want runs maxed out (ish).
The moment the 1080s land, the price of 2nd hand cards is going to plummet through the floor. Tempted to just get a 980Ti to replace both of mine,

Actually - I almost agree with you.
I don’t think Apple has ever “given us all” anything great, but they’ve certainly called time on the legacy stuff that the PC world was happy to support despite nobody using it much.
Where I have concern is around their (maybe newfound) desire to restrict. They pulled serial ports

Nope - my mouse buttons have multiplied, not reverted to a single one.

Ah - But as an old-man I’ve yet to accept competitive e-sports as I thing I even give a toss about.
I love Battlefield and more recently Rocket-League, and I’ve put many many hundreds of hours into both.
I accept I’m mediocre at best (when sober) - but play because I enjoy it and the company of those I play with.
I’ve

There’s double energy, but only as there are two cars.
Being two cars though, there’s twice as much absorbing it.

Still, doesn’t work like that if you’re hitting a truck.

You got any vacancies at Unicorn-corp?

You don’t work in IT, do you?

I hope the game’s good - but I’m not too bothered.
What I loved about that was the sense that it was made by people who cared about it. It wasn’t cranked out by “resources” - people made it, people who cared, people who went through hell and succeeded in getting it out there.
Congratulations and hope you all get some

I think “low-balled” is unfair.
They set a target at which point it was viable for them to produce the game. They hit it, it became viable, and further backers signed up feeling confident they’d get it.

That really is very very pretty (and I think more from a DOP POV (or whatever you call that in games) rather than the raw processing)..
Except “the collar” - htf was that considered realistic? Looks like he’s got a spring loaded flap on half of his shirt (whilst the other side is glued to his flesh).

It’s strangely out of print but “Made in Japan: Akio Morita and Sony” is a fascinating book.
Akio tells the story of setting up the company with practically nothing post-war, through to the monster it became (and ends before it all started to go a bit wrong).
As a bonus, you also get glimpses into Japanese culture and

I think you’re all showing your age here.
The “whine of an electric motor” might not fit in with what *you* consider to be sound of speed. I’m with you. I’m old. Personally I’d like all fast cars to come with an airbrushed portrait of Kelly LeBrock in a fur bikini.
However, I do feel we have to accept the fact that

Yep I’m holding on for that.
Mainly as I’ve got loads of other stuff to play at the moment - so don’t have a chunk of time free, and betting on this ‘whole game being great’ and buying it all now.. or buying it episode by episode..
Meh.
Maybe if the first level had been free. I quite fancy a return to the old

With you - but I prefer to look at it as “If they can’t make a great game, they don’t”
Can’t think of another dev who’ve managed to keep their nearly-perfect reputation intact.
Look at their other publisher/platform rival in GoG/CD-Projekt.
Can’t help but think having a stable income from helping little devs, enables you

I’m actually OK with their UI - basic, but it works.
My niggle is 480p cap on non-Fire Android devices - for no other reason than to make you buy their f’in Fire devices.
(Which I’m reasonably sure were only made in the first place, to help you consume their media)

NO!

NO!

In partial defence.
