I don’t see any comments yet mentioning how hard it is actually to even find some cars to test drive., especially specialty or low volume. I really wanted to look at a Civic Type R—no test drives allowed from the 3 local to me. I had to pull a “financial card” to get a dealer to let me test a Z Nismo the other year…

Agreed. The near-universally derided Mitsubishi Mirage had up sales. I mean, if there was a car on sale in 2021 called the Yugo Excrement, it would’ve had a good year.
Thanks! I did feel 17again with my first “fun” car, but had to give up the plate when the state changed regulations (only 1 unique personalized plate for the whole State rather than per County— so only the first to register got to keep theirs).
mrs and I have played a game over the years to see if we can find more to haul than will fit in the minivan (Odyssey). Haven’t been able to completely fill it yet. Still the most practical of all vehicles.
I believe Elise and Exige have been Euro-only for several years. The Evora has been the only recent US market offering.
I think the porschephiles are glad the Cayenne exists so they can keep cranking out Caymans and 911s. Personally, I would be happy to have Lotus make more SUVs and grow. The problem of Lotus isn’t making a great car, it’s the lack of infrastructure/dealer network/build quality issues. That was my Lotus problem anyway.…
