Don’t discount a nice used workbench either. I was set to build my own but found a nice steel engineer’s bench with a 2 1/2" maple top for less than pine materials would have cost. Lots of people retiring and downsizing getting rid of some quality stuff out there.

Back in 1994 I was driving a year old 1993 Dodge Shadow ES, Emerald Green with a tan interior and the classy fake wood center console I loved so much 20 years ago. Being just out of school and on a budget I settled for the 2.5tbi engine and 5-speed manual trans instead of the 3.0v6 stormer I had initially gone

Plus insurance is different state to state. Michigan is considered a no-fault state so your individual rates are higher as a result.

I’m at 5 years of driving a $300 van, so I get that logic. I did end up doing some repairs in the first year, but still less than $200 worth of parts. It’s not my daily driver so it’s only racked up an additional 15k miles in 5 years, but still it’s satisfying knowing that I can get around in something that cost less

That’s the gamble. My personal rule is $0.10/mile. So in my mind that car would have to go 40K miles before I felt like I at least got my money’s worth.

It looks good. In general all years of A5 have been cars I feel look properly proportioned and cleanly designed. I’m not much of an Audi fan, but I would drive an A5.

His stepson had it out this spring, ran in the 13's.

The one I’m using was a wedding gift as well, my parents’ wedding in 1973. I replaced the grate and the ash catcher, and the wooden handles are pretty weathered, but still just as solid as it was 43 years ago.

I found the previous owner:

Never took any video of it, but a log splitter works great for crushing a steel wheel. I had a bunch of old wheels with tires still on them from parts cars, old farm equipment etc. Rusty wheels with tires that have been on them for probably 40-50 years in some cases. With the family farm for sale it was time to clean

Guys will start jumping in front of them to stop them, then stand there as a buddy steals the wheels, doors and whatever else they can take off of it.

Reminds me of an old Allis Chalmers model G

Had to dig and remember where I read it, looks like it was Allpar, which is also known for claiming the Barracuda and 2 door Charger are coming back for the last 10 years. http://www.allpar.com/news/2016/05/i…

Another new source was saying last week that insiders shared that a 6-speed manual and 8 speed automatic would be available in the new Wrangler. So right now it’s anybody’s guess.

Maybe a Chrysler New Yorker?

Was at an SRT track experience held in a local horse track parking lot. They forgot to bring any automatic Vipers for people to drive. I remember watching an asian woman learn to drive stick in the extra Viper they had along. She did pretty well and nobody died.

It’s cheating if the 4020 had powershift ;)

Those are fun when the car has been sitting in the sun on a 90 deg day. Suprised I don’t have “Hurst” branded on the inside of my hand from that knob on the aftermarket V-gate shifter in my old Roadrunner.

Came here for this

Isn’t the shocker printed on the back of every WRX at the factory?
