I have that radio in my 89 Dodge Shadow, bought it because it looked so much like the old alpines I had back in the 80's and 90's and fits the vintage interior of the car pretty well. In a new car, not so much.

My Grandparents had an 81 Impala, and no options except A/C on it. 3.8l V6 with vinyl bench seats and crank windows. Light blue exterior with a dark blue interior. I remember once while driving it and leaving a stoplight next to a garbage truck I wasn't able to get in front of him it was that slow.

Have a friend with an Equinox that has the same system. Even after pointing out the lack of any AWD components while I had the car on a jack he still didn't believe me.

That rear overhang! This thing just does wheelies in my mind.

6/10 Thought I would do better, maybe I'm used to showing everyone else my taillights instead of seeing theirs (at least that's the excuse I'm going with).

Same vans for another year. The new equipment is flexible enough to support multiple lines.

Cool, but the blower being narrower than the Jeep doesn't work for me. Here's the right way to get it done:

The flying car has graced many magazine covers

Chevy S-10/ GMC Sonoma, back when it was the cheapest vehicle on the lot, so many of my friends had them because it was more manly than a cavalier, even in that rasberry pink color.

How about a 2 liter Chrysler Lebaron (ok, it did have a reported 460 hp).

I see these all the time with dollar bill sized chunks of paint missing and that white aluminum oxide powder showing. Lots of salt used around my area, nothing survives without some corrosion.

Had the same one!

Most horn buttons have two layers of contacts kept apart by some foam rubber, once that melts you have honking, at least until the battery or horn wiring melts through.

Different times, cars were restyled every year and the means to share information wasn't there. Imagine gathering around the radio to listen to an announcer talk about the camouflaged 54 Packard he got a wire about. Ok, so maybe TV's were getting pretty popular, still information moved at a much slower pace back

For $400 it probably would have followed me home too.

Yeah, have they done this since the 1950's anywhere? All I can picture is a soaped over dealer window promising the top secret 55 Oldsmobile

As the owner of 1.4T Manual in a Dart I wouldn't pick this combo in a 4x4, in a Fiat Abarth sure, but there isn't much torque off idle, and creeping around doing some low speed wheeling isn't where it would be happy.

Thought this was just Portland's car sharing program.
