This sounds like a popularity contest. I’m surprised they haven’t been sued into submission, especially being based in California with traditionally strong labor laws. Even the lower level people in IT and operations and cyber security are treated like this?

I support the latter suggestion. I stopped using voice search for anything. It’s less convenient, but so is locking my doors.

Wrong. I use a few authenticator apps, only one of which requests any permissions. Google Authenticator requests to use my camera to snap QR codes to easily link a site or service with the app. And I can disable that if I’d prefer to type in a code. Stop spreading misinformation.
