Yeah, my wife and I used “I See The Light” as our first dance song for our wedding.

Hands-down. Tangled is better by a mile.

Wow, both Lighting and Supergirl gone and Arrow is gone.

This.

“You should know this is the weirdest thing I have ever done!”

“... This is kind of an off-day for me, this doesn’t normally happen...”

I don’t want to hate on “Frozen,” especially since it does a few things very well, but the one aspect in particular that “Tangled” truly stomps all over it is in the character animation, particularly human facial expressions and their body language.

I mean, Anna Taylor-Joy looks like she’s half-animated anyway. Can she sing?

I live for moments in movies that I haven’t seen before, and that sequence of Rapunzel swinging back and forth between the elation of freedom and the despair of disappointing her mother is absolutely wonderful. It’s hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time.

I can’t stop cracking up at the phrase “Hot Man” focus group. It’s like the depressing sequel to Hot Girl Summer.

There are three truly great “subversive” Disney films according to my family - Enchanted, Tangled, and The Emperor’s New Groove. We have those movies on constant repeat even now, and my kids are all grown at this point. They just never get old even though we can repeat every beat and lyric.

The subtle beats like that are amazing.

Plus Gothel’s villain song is fantastic.

Partly (mostly?) because Pascal >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Olaf.

Her manic-depressive swings when she finally leaves the tower & has to deal with the psychological repercussions are right up there with Fat Thor for equal parts hilarity and awesome, fully-realized character development in a Disney movie.

I like Frozen more as a fucked up character study than as a musical. Anna and Elsa are genuinely three dimensional characters who deal with their psychological damage in fundamentally different ways, which is the source of their conflict, but that shared conflict is also what brings them back together. That’s an

“When Will My Life Begin” is on my daughter’s playlist, and it comes up all the time, and I never get annoyed in the slightest. Great song.

I’m kind of happy that happy that Tangled didn’t become a cultural sensation in the same way that Frozen did, since this is still Disney and it’s almost guaranteed that they would have done their best to over-saturate us all with Tangled stuff to the point where the original would have been faintly cheapened.

My favourite Disney movie ever, not including Pixar movies (though that said, it holds its own against them). Just a wonderful film all round.
