S6&7 being slow is fair. And the 3 Card Monty of the plot of S6 is an Ocean’s Twelve annoying twist. But, I think you can see the finale Gamble and Co were building to that gets chunked once she’s leaving and it does a disservice to what came before it.

It would make sense those movies have momentum and are all interconnected.

The premise for this movie is so painfully obvious for a rom-com that it seems almost criminal it took this long.

I would watch the hell out of a rom-com where David Levy brings home a Pete Buttigieg-type to his very PFLAG, almost-uncomfortably-supportive parents, who have no idea how to relate to a gay person who can’t be euphemistically described as “artsy.”

If you liked Buffy you should definitely check out Supernatural.  It’s a worthy successor, in my opinion.  And sometimes it gets meta as F*CK in ways that Buffy never did.

I agree with your larger point, but also doesn’t everyone think James Woods should shut up? Surely the thought has to be there in the back their minds.
