Blame $50 for first checked bag. Early boarding is all about peace of mind not having to worry about checking your carry on because there isn’t enough room, since with the $50 for first checked bag everybody has carry ons and nobody has checked bags, and nobody wants to wait an unnecessary half hour at the carousel

Eh.

Agreed. Teenagers aren’t nearly as stupid as many people seem to think they are. And most of the reason they go ahead and do dumb stuff is because they think that they’ll be able to get away with it because they are “just teenagers”.

Crawford said he rubbed her shoulder and kissed her on the neck while they drank, and when she entered a restroom alone, Brantley followed.

Yep, it’s pretty astonishing to me that they don’t seem to see that throwing him under the bus A.S.A.P. is their best survival plan. Hell, it practically turns them into the “good guys” putting country above party. Especially if/when they bring out the “NeverTrump” sound bites from back during his campaign/early

But he HAS been caught. Which makes him useless, and (IMO) their best bet is, and has been for a while, to throw him under the bus as quickly as possible while there is still time to get a campaign together for another candidate.

1. We aren’t talking ICBM’s here. From what I understand, ASBMs don’t travel high enough to need a heat shield. So adding one would reduce the existing range/potency. Additionally, they need some form of sensor apparatus to course correct, which even if the rest of the missile is heavily shielded would create a weak

To be fair to the Americans, Hiroshima was a naval port with a major military headquarters, and Nagasaki was also a major military port, and one of the largest shipbuilding/repair centers. They weren’t entirely civilian.

According to Parks, Sebov squeezed her hand a little too tight, which is a traditional show of “I would gauge your interest in some of ‘that smoke’” in the black community.

Darn it Michael, you got us again. Forgot to verify your links actually say what you say they say.

They were following root policy #1 of mind your own business/never call the police?

Which part of “annnnd there’s the real story” do you want?

Pssst. According to the linked federal lawsuit, he was “only” enslaved for “at least 5". The press release specifies 2009 to 2014. The 17 year number the author cites to “court documents” presumably came from the interview, as the linked court documents present an entirely different number.

After another posters comment about the wapo story having a different timeline, the financial discrepancy appears to be that the federal lawsuit only claims he was enslaved for (at least) the last 5 (five) years he worked there. Not 17. Not 23.

Subtracted room/board/utilities?

One persons side of the story may not actually be the factual truth.

Accurately reporting his plight would never detract from it.

It should be pointed out, McD’s had been warned MULTIPLE times that they were serving their coffee at temperatures that were unsafe. The ~$3 million was punitive damages. (i.e. a “stop doing that” slap in the face) Compensatory damages were only $160k.

They were following the Root’s advice and just minding their own business and definitely NOT calling the police?

As I follow the timeline, he was working there on the “up and up” for 6 years. (Unclear to what extent, maybe just busing tables after school?) Then the manager changed and that is when the NEW manager enslaved him. So he would have been 18 (and presumably no longer required to be in school) when he started working 18
