Pssst 17 years.  Headline isn’t entirely accurate.  He worked there for 23, but the first 6 years were apparently on the up and up under a different manager.

It is impossible that the whole family was unaware of the enslavement of one of the employees.

So, where are all the comments complaining that the white lady should have minded her own business?

True. But accidentally blinding the pilot when trying to burn through the pilots head with the laser is fine. The prohibition is along the lines of those making it illegal to intentionally cripple foes. Accidentally crippling when trying to kill is fine.

Are there any “sufficiently energetic lasers” that will have a noticeable effect on a missile?

Counter argument. Americans are better at NOT killing things.

I *think* the death stars weapon may have been an actual laser though I’m not sure they really specified what it was.

Sure. Let’s say your missile is travelling 7500 miles per hour, or 2 miles per second. Let’s say it’s a cruise missile hugging the surface of the water. Let’s say the laser is 100 feet above the surface of the water on the ship. The laser will see your missiles ~12 miles away. Giving it ~6 seconds to shoot the cruise

The point of these lasers isn’t to take out whatever platform the artillery/guns are on. The point of these lasers are to take out the projectiles fired by the artillery/guns. And in order to hit the target, the projectile *has* to be in visible range at some point... now whether it is in visible range long enough for

Wet rags will only work for a *very* brief exposure. Yes, water has a much higher specific heat than metal, but it also doesn’t take nearly as much of a change in temperature for it to go gaseous, and then you lose all the protection. (completely ignoring the logistics of trying to protect a missile with said wet rags)

Lasers shoot down howitzer shells, artillery rockets, and mortar rounds, for the first time providing ground troops protection from enemy artillery

C)Disagree. Streamers should get a worse punishment as not only are they doing the cheat, but they are disseminating that the cheat exists and advertising how powerful they are.

Epic should put every game played by Blevins IP under a microscope looking for a similar infraction. Methinks he doth protest too much.

When have 007 films ever been true to the concept of spies? This may be a good movie, and is likely a good move on the part of the license holder to (try to) bring it up to date with 21st century sensibilities, but I just balk at the notion of it being a 007 flick if 007 isn’t a womanizing boy with absurdly high tech

Eh, if they want to keep 007's whole schtick then she HAS to be gay.

Eh, I have no issues with 007 being black.

Eh, I liked Brosnan, (I assume that’s who you mean?) but Connery was definitely #1. (Admittedly, for some reason I’ve only seen I think 2 of Craig’s)

So, whats the odds on her surviving ‘till the credits?

Was immediately going to say, wasn’t like half the cast of Casino Royal James Bond “007"?

I believe I covered that.
