HEH. Everything in DC is JUST BLOCKS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE. It’s hysterical.

I second this notion.
Google search for the form letter to fight DC traffic cam tickets. Basic letter and the DC gov’t workers are so lazy they just dismiss the ticket rather than respond to the appeal.
I recently had the opportunity to bring my Aston Martin to Washington, D.C. This involved spending two and a half hours on the interstate stuck behind people from Maryland going the speed limit in the left lane. NOW YOU FEEL OUR PAIN. WORST DRIVERS IN THE NATION!!!
DUDE. Wish I knew you were in town....
It’d be 80 days in jail in VA. For every one mph above 90, you get one day in the clink. Plus the class 1 misdemeanor charge on your record.
That’s just emissions, doesn’t cover your safety inspection.
THIS. Just the other day I was behind a MD driver (no safety inspections in MD) whose balljoint or control arm FAILED on the GW pkwy at speed. Drivers front wheel goes perpendicular to the road, sparks flying etc. Guy’s lucky he didn’t injure himself or someone else.
Yup, and in VA far more revenue is generated from the speeding ticket than from the use of radar dector ticket.
It was primarily happening in Fairfax Co., which means this was 100% a revenue generating move. If I recall correctly it’s was like two or three cops who were going bonkers doing this every month.
This was primarily an issue in Fairfax Co., where the police for is one of the most overfunded in the country. FFCo. Police are DICKS, so much so that they had to change this law to stop them from abusing their citizenry. Most other county police forces were not pulling this shit... In 15 years, never had an issue in…
Heh. My first car was a 1.6L 4 MX-3 1994
I really wanted to save my 1984 Merc 190D 2.2 5speed. Slow as all hell, but could easily get 40mpg and built like a tank. The suspension was LUX and I always felt classy as hell getting into that thing. Sadly the oil seal on the injection pump started hemorrhaging oil everywhere. I did not have the means or resources…
If I recall correctly in NJ and Virginia it’s policy that they do this and can get administrative reprimand if a supervisor catches them approaching the side of the car that is closest to traffic.
Not one that is too bad but kinda funny:
Good thing they’re so cheap now, cuz you’ll end up replacing them weeks later because they’re cheap POS’s.

“Moral of the story? Don’t approach a hot track unless you have a nice-safe metal cage on four wheels around you. It never, ever ends well, even if you’re not directly playing in race traffic.”
For us, maybe. This woman is supposedly a professional driver. This is like an electrician not flipping the breaker off before…
Due to octane ratings difference between the fuel? FCA tuned it down for US market for knock prevention?
