I recall reading or seeing somewhere that part of the reason we got Splash Mountain had to with Eisner wanting some way to promote the movie Splash...which doesn’t make a lot of sense but oh well.

I hope they do a better job than they did with Frozen Ever After, while there are some good parts of that ride...it feels 3/4s assed. I love splash mountain, but it is time to change it. I believe the imagineers working on this are the same team that did Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Rail, which I hear is very good.
