Right on cue. I was reading some of Cody Johnston’s tweets about Elon and it didn’t take me long before I saw this:

Yup, that’s a top 3 retort. I’d say it’s tied with “And what have you done?”

His fans do seem to think he’ll make them rich someday. I made the mistake of reading some reddit comments from Elon fans when he’d tweet about Dogecoin and bitcoin, and he was hailed as a king anytime a dumb tweet he made drove their prices higher.

I mean, duh, he invented electric cars and Tesla is now also in the solar panel business! /s

“He’s a billionaire who’s changing the world. What have you done with your sad, pathetic life?”

Haha I agree with your opinions. I could similarly go on (and on) about why the hullabaloo over Emma Stone in La La Land was irksome and head-scratching to me (Emma is no doubt a great actress, but nothing was “wow” in that movie that she was sweeping everything all the way up to her Oscar). Some day Amy and Glenn

And one about the Thailand cave rescue.

Jennifer Lawrence was riding a hot streak after Silver Linings Playbook and every studio seemed to want a piece of her so I wasn’t surprised (but disappointed, yes, that Amy was in the back seat during the AH awards push).

Carey has been consistently solid in all her performances over the years so it’s easy to assume she’s had more than two nominations. I would have thought Mudbound or Suffragette got her nominations as well.

“So that’s why I can easily concede Best Actress. This is Mulligan’s third nomination and she’s only in her 30s? She’s such a gifted actress. She’ll easily get another great role/nomination.”

All of this makes me wonder what Amanda Crew’s and Suzanne Cryer’s experiences were like on the show, as the two main female cast members.

Haven’t watched a full episode of SNL in years but will be tuning in to see Carey show her comedic chops. To see a bit of her funny side before then, I suggest the Vogue skit that’s on YouTube from a few years ago where she shows what it’s like to be a New Yorker.

As an owner of two Ford vehicles, I take offense to this (sarcastic, but also serious). Still driving around a 2002 Explorer with over 200,000 miles and it’s been solid with just regular maintenance.

Hisaishi’s score is one of the reasons Spirited Away is so perfect. I feel like a stage adaption needs to incorporate his work somehow. The Sixth Station piece for the train scene is beautiful and haunting, and says a lot in a scene that has zero dialogue.

I adore Spirited Away and also can’t see how or why this should be a play. But it’d be interesting to see how they capture moments like when Chihiro travels to Swamp Bottom on the train; one of my favorite film scenes of all-time. The images of the spirits and the whimsical score elicit very strong emotions.

I’ll have to watch this interview, but if that’s true, then gosh what a bummer. I’m always hesitant about spin-offs in general, but I trust and will watch anything that Vince and Peter do. After the latest season, I was thinking something centered on Lalo would be good. I’m wondering if any of this BCS delay partly has

If BCS had more than one season left, they’d probably have to start de-aging and CGI-ing Jonathan Banks to look younger. I’m guessing any spin-off they might consider after BCS is gonna be hard-pressed to include too much of Mike if it’s set in times before Breaking Bad.

There’s an old Gawker article that you can read that has specific examples from women who have commented on how they were wronged by him. Take from it what you will.

The thing that will always stick with me about Fred Armisen is what Elisabeth Moss said after their quickly doomed relationship: “The greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person.”

I liked the Mad Men portion (what can I say, I love to read little bits about shows I love).
