Actually, that’s kind of my go-to with ethnics in general. If everyone on both sides just did the same, we wouldn’t have any of this coffee-and-cops drama. I think we’re on to something.

Classy. Jesus, have some respect.
I’m curious how Starbucks’ bottom line will suffer from losing the critical demographic of black people who don’t care for coffee. Devastating.
It was a very strange story. I feel like there must be some context missing. That’s a lot of rage for someone apparently unprovoked. It’s a shame there’s no documentation of the initial incident.
You make an interesting point.
That’s not bias, it’s a differing opinion on a subjective situation.
She has terrific genetics.
May the best weave win?
Oh don’t be so dramatic. I think it was a productive failure. AI is going to make trillions of errors before it ever starts to work well. This is but one, and totally inevitable.
If I could have a do-over I’d disembowel the head chef with a plastic spatula. Hind sight is 20/20 I suppose.
Thank you. Yes. Ketchup.
See, I’m not really sure what you mean. I wasn’t being disingenuous, if that’s what you’re implying.
I’m not sure I find it surprising that there’s white supremacists seeking political office. But it is interesting that they’re getting so much traction from the general public. Their radicalism is being actively legitimized, and it points to an underlying social trend. American politics are becoming strangely…
Absolutely true. I love Doug so much. It’s really what I’m missing in my life. My own loyal psychopathic pervert beta-male fixer. Shouldn’t every asshole have one?
The Irish are already a lesser race status.
Or, joke around and laugh with everyone until the white guy says something. Then get super serious like he just killed the whole vibe.
Oh, I remember well the horror of TNG’s first season. And its second. And some of its third. I love TNG with all my soul. And in loyalty to its legacy of much-delayed greatness, I’m going to hang in there and watch every minute of Discovery, Tig Notaro and all. But it doesn’t mean I have to like it.
That was a lovely piece Bassey, and I have to echo your sentiment about Carey’s bravery. Mental illness is far too pervasive to be so widely misunderstood and overlooked. I have endorse every effort to garner awareness and support for it, and I’m pleased to see you’ve done exactly that.
What you’re describing is a fundamental difference between episodic and serialized television. You remember TV before the 2000's right? Characters changed throughout the episode, not throughout the series. It doesn’t make for less compelling television. Just different.
I think she’s a bewildering choice for a guest star. I’ve been forced to watch some of her material. She can’t act (she can barely play herself), and her comedy is a mediocrity. So I’m failing to see what she’s going to bring to the mix. Is she going to make Discovery objectively worse? I’m not sure if that’s possible…
