55 MPH is more than a “minor inconvenience”. Have you ever driven (or been a passenger) crossing Kansas at 55 MPH? Christ it felt like I could get out and walk faster than that.

First - speeds should be lower in neighborhoods and city centers. I agree with that.

I’d bet on a long-haul freeway commute. Cars that look great (careful driver with cleanly habits) but have more mileage than the Space Shuttle are a thing out there. This one comes out to maybe 20,000 miles a year.

If you were shopping for a German car, that should be the expectation going in.

I have an older Sienna (2007). Nothing like rolling up to Home Depot and getting 120 pickets and 3 6x8 sheets of plywood and fitting it ALL inside the van (middle seats gone, back flipped down) to make guys in F-150s question their manliness.

I try to stay away from making assumptions about the people who drive certain vehicles unless they’re dumb enough to plaster their vehicles with Confederate flags or whatever.

There are quite a few really lame comments in this thread very full of assumptions and a few more that are attacking the integrity of these two legal gun owners for legally transporting their weapons. Even better and more lame, many are belittling their storm relief volunteer work. It’s quite pathetic to go after them…
