Why not under a flip-up license plate at the middle of the rear bumper like ye olden tymes?

I have yet to see a new Z, and I live in FL where retirees come to spend their children’s’ inheritance the money they saved during their career on playthings.
The Ford EcoSport. Who was the target audience for that pitiful thing? They could have just put AWD on a Fiesta and called it a day.
Fuck this thing.
The Subaru Tribeca. I’m not even sure what they were trying to do with it as they had several models that were better at doing whatever it was trying to do. I’m kind of surprised it even lived long enough to have a facelift done as the first gen was hideous and should’ve been shelved before production.
So who identifies what roads are what? Even in your dream land where speed limits boil down into 7 categories and even a few of those are wishy-washy. So who labels the roads in Maps (or writes the algorithm to label the roads)? Who is the point of contact for when users encounter roads int eh wild that are…
Spoken like someone who doesn’t have to work on modern shitboxes.
I think the problem is that the vast majority of “interesting” cars are expensive.
You don’t even need to go near the limit to have more fun in a simple lightweight car. That’s part of the joy. Modern sports cars are generally boring on the street as you are totally isolated from what is going on and you can’t hit the go pedal for more than a second without hitting prison speeds.
I mean, if you have to explain a car in terms of practicality being the highlight, your taste is similar to having chicken noodle soup...But without the chicken, and the broth is just hot water.
This is a car enthusiast site, right? Has the author of this article actually driven a lightweight car without any aides past the limit?
My opinion is that modern cars are really, REALLY good....for people who don’t care about driving and consider a car an appliance. Which, to be fair, is the vast majority of the car buying public.
He’s right though. As cars become more like appliances, less and less soulful cars will exist.
Nothing about a suspension being a “coilover” inherently says anything in particular about the ride. You could have a cloud soft coilover or a board stiff coilover. Only thing a “coilver” does is give you adjustable ride height in an integrated spring/damper setup.
You bought the wrong coilovers and set them up wrong.
Never put coilovers on a car your just driving to work. You will hate the stiff ride. The roads are terrible all over and stock suspensions are designed to absorb that horror. If you want to lower your car, get shorter springs. If you want better cornering, get thicker sway bars. Ask me how I know this.
I’ve driven a new M4 on and off track. I’m fairly confident that the M4 wasn’t the issue.
The Dodge Charger - BRING BACK THE MAGNUM, you cowards.
Do people really creep around a gas station, spying on guys using premium, then lining up behind them even though there’s 3 empty spots? All for a splash of the upper crust juice?
