I will give you a star for promoting the street survival school (everyone should take this).  But there is only so much defensive driving can do to prevent a wreck.  Sometimes someone else does something so completely out of the blue that you can't do much more than be a victim

I didn’t own this car, but my parents did. 1989 BMW 735i. It’s such a simple, strong design that has aged amazing well. It even looked good in this old-man tan color.

I... am not a photographer, clearly.

My ‘73 Volvo 1800ES. Bought it 20 years ago for too much money, fixed a bunch of mechanical problems, and it was my daily driver on and off for a long time. It’s waiting on some much-needed attention now, but man, does it get looks.

My Datsun 240Z. The image is not of my car, but my car was exactly the same: colour, wheels, and even the bumper rider!

“It’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow”

Best way to watch the race? Stay home and get a 65" TV or spend $25k for a suite. There’s no in-between that makes sense on an enjoyment/$ spent basis.

Oh fer fucks sake, you live in texas. Just buy a used beater truck. Spend 10K on something to haul parts and drive through water and if it gets ruined, it’s practically disposable. Then spend 50k on something nice.

Now make this as accessible and convenient as gas stations and we’ll be getting somewhere. I don’t need a 600 mile EV. I need accessible places to charge.

Not embarrassed to say I love the audacity of these cars.

Fully Networked Vehicle (FNV) architecture- this and any system like it are major red flags for me. I never plan on owing a car with any remotely controlled software or features.

I’m of two minds...

Or at least make the automation system useless. Strip all the electronics and wipe the OS. Cause what I see, they’ll just start manufacturing the same cars once they can get supplies.

I counter BMW M54 engine and Ford 300 straight six.

The GM 3800 has to be up there. Didn’t matter if you were drag racing, driving the Indy 500, or going to the grocery store over a ~40 year period, it had ya covered.

I feel like no homologation special really counts, because it was done for a good reason even if the road car was a turd.

Eddie bauer edition ford. Did it really add any value?:

The NASCAR editions of the 6th Gen Monte Carlo

That looks beyond awful.

What makes you think people would want to go to their high school reunion at all?
