My trust issues run waaay too deep to ever consider putting my car on Turo, or using Turo from the renter side. People who use this site might as well be aliens to me.

Wheels, lowering, stickers, license plate delete or relocate. Of course there might be a lot we can’t see, the ST in the middle has an aftermarket intercooler at least. STs can make a lot of power on the 2.0 block.
No. Take it to a track.
We have a really great Thursday night show-and-shine, every week through the summer. It has street rods, JDM customs, stanced rides, modern muscle, supercars, you name it it’s there... Everybody gets along. Everybody has something positive to say about everybody else. It’s awesome to watch the old street rod guys…
Slideshows in car enthusiast website stories. Yeah, those need to go.
The idea that putting others at risk because you think it looks cool is ok. That covers more than just street racing. It includes shit like the Carolina Squat, stretched tires, severe camber, and any other visual mod that negatively impacts the safety of the car.
Gatekeeping also needs to die.
The unsactioned gathering is what draws these folks in. This guy was just the worst offender becuase he killed two people. Please tell me what “other points of view” I should examine about having modded cars drag race in the middle of a small town with a lot of pedestrian traffic.
That’s a big assumption there buddy....that I would support reckless driving anywhere let alone in my own community where my neighbors and friends would be at risk. Do I support people modding their own cars even if I think it looks silly? Sure. If these folks want to “unnoffically” get together in a big parking lot…
It did start as a tuned VW thing and from my understading the original founders of H20i have disavowed what this spectacle has turned into.
I’ll go with he obvious answer, GPS/Nav. A quick estimation of the number of times that I and my close friends use our cars’ nav systems is 0%. Even with the cool HUD integration on my current ride I grab my phone for nav every single time.
Honestly, active cruise control and lane departure warning w/ recentering.
Touch Screens.
Start|Stop technology, aka Idle Stop.
I’m well under 60 and I’ve only ever owned manual transmission cars.
Nope. I’m about as far from a libertarian as you can get, and am a bug believer in big government-especially in the realm of health and safety, but this is a step too far even for me. It is a definite intrusion, and, worse, it operates from a presumption of guilt where innocence must be proved first. That is just…
You should meet more people under 60...
I mean, seems like the real fix is just buy the manual, like you should have in the first place!
I have only gone to Walmart to steal.
I don’t shop at places w/o cashiers. I don’t work for the stores and I don’t want to take away the jobs of people who do work there. My local CVS has no cashiers at all anymore, so I don’t shop there anymore.
