Never buy the cheapest tires available!

Any two monstrously oversized SUV or pickup trucks.

For $10,500? A Cavalier? I don’t care it it’s a convertible. Hell, I wouldn’t care if it also included a modest vacation package to the glorious sunkist beaches of Puerto Rico valued at $5,500, while Vanna White herself flips the final letters as I solve “My wife is leaving me because I bought a Cavalier for $10,500.”

Traffic stops should not receive the death penalty.

Except Justin is wrong. They do look like ass. And not just any ass, hot, sweaty, festering ass covered in butt-pimples and substantial evidence of sub-par wiping technique.

Boring and dumb sometimes gets you to a good place stylistically. The wheels shown looked horrible when new, and worse now.

What an pissy thing to say. These rims look like ass on this car. How’s that Justin? Am I judging them by the right criteria for you?

Here I am, getting sucked into the subjectivity vortex.

No.

LOL wut? Those wheels sucked then and they suck now.

The rest of the car looks great. The wheels look like ass, which makes the car as a whole look worse than it would otherwise. It didn’t look good on the SN95, and it doesn’t look good on the S550.

Most old wheels were bad and only look good in their original context. Putting them on a new car makes them worse. New wheels on old cars can be similarly jarring, but can look nice if they’re in proportion and match the styling of the car.

I don’t like it, but not for any generational reasons.

no

Unsprung mass and great tires make a heck of a difference: So here’s the deal about buying wheels and tires...

And honestly, pay attention to anything with computer controlled timing. My Miata will run just fine on unleaded, due to the computer pulling timing, but it does run noticeably better on premium.

I found my current Volvo V70 on Craigslist, never sold one that way. Though I have sold one on Facebook, and will be listing another one next week when I get back to Maine for the summer. Both were perfectly fine.

nah foo! Twas written on the the stone many solstice ago in the OPPO era of Mercedes’ greatness.

How close are you to Road America?

Got my ‘89 Firebird, then COVID hit. I took the time to get it painted and now it’s almost ready for Radwood.
