Hello, fellow old person.
Hello, fellow old person.
Wait. People born in 1996 can drive? Aren’t they like 14 years old still?
Why in the blue hell is this not in chronological order...?!?
My favorite is cars that are clearly automatics listed as manuals.
I’m really surprised the insurance companies haven’t come up with discounts if people take Real Driver Training. I know some insurance companies offer discounts if you sit through some classroom/virtual defensive driver course, but those are just theory, with no practical component.
Aviation insurance companies often…
My knee-jerk reaction to just the opening paragraph of this was, “DUH!” But you did make me think a little...everybody thinks they are a great driver, and some of those poor souls even cite their excellent DL test results. Supposedly, at the time I got my license, NJ was one of the better states, and our test was an…
The Europeans seem to love government intrusion, but in the case of receiving drivers licenses, they have it nailed. Make the test much more difficult - make the training longer. Have the cops pull over those who hang out in the left lane. Higher penalties for infractions, and for Christ sake, make inspections more…
In early 1994 the US Army transferred me from Germany to Maryland. I arrived at my new duty station driving a clapped out 77 Buick wagon from Indiana. Anyone who grew up in that area knows full well the issues in driving any nearly 20 year old car at that time. It’s #1 issue was rust. Rust through the fenders, rust…
He now owes you all of the beers. Indefinitely.
Probably the most disgusting thing I've ever found in a car was an automatic transmission. I just wasn't prepared for it and the memory sometimes just hits me when I'm least expecting it.
When I was in high school I had a ‘98 Audi A4 (1.8T Quattro with the 5-speed Manual... rad car, when it wasn’t in the shop). My mom owned a restaurant, and while I was out of town one summer weekend, she needed to borrow my car to make an emergency supply run to Restaurant Depot.
Another day, another reason I want to own a Tesla less and less. Screw their insurance policy bullshit. Same with any other insurance company that wants me to put a snitch module in my car “for better rates”.
Unless your shit’s fucked up, keep the flashers off.
Turn your lights on though. I can’t tell you how many times I see people driving in the fog or other inclement weather, no lights on. Partial blame goes to automatically backlit gauge clusters. My car has no backlight unless the lights are on.
Yep. That’s my biggest problem with the whole thing. I could see this in the $7-9K range but those decals knock it down to $5K TOPS. If I bought this thing, the first thing I would do is pick off the stickers in the guys driveway and flick the bits at him.
“and had their high beams on 24/7 for some reason.”
Some people? I’d say A LOT of people.
Oh, these people didn’t know how to drive before any of this mess.
