I dont think many people class Advance Wars as an RPG And Mario RPG hasn’t been released yet so I think that explains that.

I mean technically I doubt there’s anything disallowing an indie game from being GotY but realistically yeah it’s never going to happen. Imagine the uproar from out-of-touch fanboys if a pixel game or 5-hour puzzle game won GotY. The VGA doesn’t want that.
>Yes, in a year that’s in the running for the best ever when it comes to new games, a remake managed to beat out Bethesda’s ultra-hyped space epic Starfield, amongst other games.
I understand what you’re saying By the end of BoTW, I was just plain bored. The world was pretty, but empty, and the majority of “side quests” were meaningless and unfulfilling. And TotK didn’t look like it changed what bored me about BoTW. New mechanics don’t make a better game when the core of the game is so lacking.
Talking about snubs at TGA is old hat. This is the same show that snubbed forza Horizon 5 when it was literally the best reviewed game of the year.
Lol, quit coping. Advance Wars? Are you serious...😂
My only gripe with this years nominations is Zelda TotK. It’s just a repeat of BotW once you get bored of the sandbox stuff. It shouldn’t be on the list.
The anime version is oddly trying to have it both ways. It tries to make it clear that Eren’s a monster — especially with Eren calling himself an idiot with too much power and saying he never had a plan and just wanted to smash anything he could get his hands on — then kicks his apocalypse down the road another few…
For the most part I enjoyed the characters, but god I hate how the ending all came down to fatalism and time travel bs. Eren essentially used the old chicken and the egg paradox to explain why he had to kill so many people.
The success of BG3 is pretty remarkable. Niche genre (CRPG), single-player, PC-first, self-published and yet it’s remained in the global top 10 sellers (usually top 5) on Steam for 3 months.
I finished this game weeks ago.
Hes basically bad guy batman.
I mean, Dr. Claw is a direct parody of Doom so it makes sense that you’d associate them.
Can someone please explain to me why Doctor Doom is held in such high regard?
Doom has been around so long there is are so many different versions. Tons of fans like different eras. When he us well written he is a believable charachter when written poorly he still enjoyable to read for some reason. I find his campy versions work and his grounded version work. He’s kind of like Marvel’s version…
For me, the compelling thing about Doom (when he’s written well) is that he’s a narcissist with nobility. He made a time machine to see the future, and found out that every timeline eventually ends with humanity turning on and destroying itself. The only one where humanity stayed united was the one where he reigned as…
I’m not even a comics fanboy, but Dr. Doom is legendary on so many levels that, truly, Marvel hasn’t yet used a villain like him.
Thanos is amazing, but they had to change his entire characterization from the comics because it is admittedly very lame and thin (he wanted to wipe out 50% of the universe to impress Lady…
Dr. Doom has on two separate occasions essentially become the ruler of the entire universe.
Yeah, Menzoberranzan is basically the anti-Greece. Men don’t really have any rights so it would be like if a southern plantation owner told the other confederates his slave was his beloved. They’d think he was nuts. This place is female led to the extreme and pretty psychopathic all in all.
