Yeah, this show is losing momentum at a dangerous clip. This episode really felt like it was missing some sort of payoff/gratification scene; when the credits rolled, I felt shorted.

This makes me a little curious, was the material he wrote problematic in and of itself, or is does this all boil down to him not being Japanese?

I wonder how much fans will even think about this. If he’s the editor rather than a writer or artist...the only real reaction-option be to boycott Marvel entirely?

I’m sure that someone else has said it, but WB should’ve just added mustache to all the shots. It wouldn’t have hurt the film.

Ah, I see what you’re saying.

If GotG3 is happening after Avengers 4, then I hope that it means Marvel Studios will keep doing the ‘cosmic’ films. I’m a little annoyed at the thought of Captain Marvel finally being introduced only to appear in two MCU films.

    Crimes like reckless enboredomment?

They should really give Martha Stewart a cameo at this point.

    Nextwave, nextwave, nextwave...

The ‘smelling fear’ bit was one of the few things that I felt sort-of-distinguished the film’s plot. Not that it was great, but it was at least a relatively unique little touch.

I agree that it’s Lex, but I’m talking about Kevin Spacey, if not in the writing than in pure casting terms.

This is even handy if you did go to see Justice League but didn’t feel like waiting around afterwards.

I momentarily forgot that this show is not a part of the MCU when the von Strucker name was used. My mind was trying to connect Reed’s family to Avengers: Age of Ultron. Anyway, I find the weird mutant-ish overlap between Fox and the MCU to be kind of amusing and I really enjoy these characters who exist in both.

I was wondering if that street was actually in Chattanooga.

For what it’s worth, I found this review nicely engaged and enthused about the show, Jesse.

I’ll admit, the real world didn’t occur to me while watching the episode because that line makes perfect sense within the context of this episode’s story, which made perfect sense within the show. It didn’t feel like a ‘message moment’ or at least it was an organic one

I love how it feels as though things are constantly in motion, discovery leading to suspense and mystery, coaxing more discoveries and more suspense. And without getting bogged down spending time dwelling on one or two things.

I’m guilty. I thought that I was filling out a request form for a Brendan Fraser comeback and didn’t realize my mistake until I’d already clicked ‘submit.’

Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu would not be unwelcome in the MCU themselves.

I know nothing about the source material here, but a few eps in, this is probably the most that I’ve ever enjoyed a Marvel or DC TV adaption (except maybe B:TAS). I hope that wherever the story goes is as engaging as it feels like it’s going to be as of right now.
