I've been afraid that this film might surrender to formula, but the comments on its sense of scale, setting and staging and an explanation for how Planet of the Apes might grow from this, all of that piques my interest enough that I'm still positive. This might be my favorite big modern franchise.

I love the Superman/Krypton-related casting strategy of reusing actors in different roles each time things get rebooted. Is this role good enough for Durance—I agree with others that she's arguably the best live-action Lois—? Who knows, but in any event, fun stuff.

I loved hearing her call Clark 'Smallville.'

Didn't the MCU deserve cred immediately from the first RDJ scene in Iron Man?

    You're un-undead?

I agree in general, but it's possible to be a bad advocate by articulating one's position in an ineffective way.

That was especially egregious in the Lego Movie.

Or Daniel-Day Kim. He's looking for his next gig.

So, we've established that it's not appropriate for an actor of one ethnicity to impersonate someone of another ethnicity*.

Check out "I See Fire" (the aforementioned song from the Hobbit).

Well, I'd say that he is also popular because he has appealing things to say and seems like a fairly cool guy. Not just because he didn't have to pass through as much of a crucible as other candidates.

Yeah, the colors aren't very energizing or as you say, legible.

Oh, man. It's like, "Have you seen the other guys? The ones who beat us in the election?"

I've wondered why Leeza was never in any movies.

    Did Baleman even lift?

Ever since he watched Dawn, Nolan has had a bad case of Insomnia.

I think that it will be interesting to compare the films as a trilogy (or more?) once we can look back on them. Rise to Dawn is like an exaggerated version of the evolution from Batman Begins to The Dark Knight. The first Apes film is almost a different genre, since it's all about explaining and gradually getting
