“Rick sucks. Beth sucks. Everything sucks—at least if you’re smart.”
As a current resident of Chicago and a former resident of NYC, I will say that NYC has a special level of not giving a shit about you that is both incredibly liberating and terrifyingly depressing. If this guy feels like Chicago didn’t love him, he’s only going deeper into the circles of Hell moving to NYC.
Katie, This is a great piece overall.
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.
Man Bad at Biking and Dating, Decides It’s the City’s Fault
“But it’s the midwest! My small trust fund should allow me to buy vast tracts of land!”
He will be tragically killed trying to explain to an oncoming subway car that he’s not interested in having sex with it.
He’s a guy that wrote an article on HuffPo that has gotten some traction around the internet, largely because of how dumb it is (I saw it elsewhere and have already made fun of him for crashing his bike so much and blaming it on a city). It’s pop culture because of that.
He was complaining that Chicago is expensive. He’s from San Francisco, for god’s sake. That alone made me realize how full of shit he is.
I hope this dude gets chased out of city after city until he’s reduced to fleeing a Carpathian village after telling an ornery goose he doesn’t want to have sex with it.

This news makes me so happy. Jurassic World was innocuous, paint-by-numbers summer action fluff. Nothing about having him direct Ep. IX made me look forward to it.
Here today, gone Trevorrow.
but they’re having so much fun moving his antennae around!
“Dick move.”
I am making a bit of a wild guess they are setting up a role reversal between Dot and Arthur, where Dot becomes increasingly invested in investigating wild theories about the Terror and Arthur takes on the role of protector who has to rein her in. Which if done right, can become a fun arc.
My echo dot sits right in front of the TV, so The Terror actually turned mine on when he said that joke! Alexa misheard it as a Modest Mouse request though, so it was rather poor advertising for a product I already own
I absolutely love this show. It definitely nails the irreverent tone and heart of the comics and cartoon. It makes so much sense that Barry Sonnenfeld is an executive producer, since I get a lot of the same vibes that his early movies give off. The moment when Tick yelled “My baby!” is so hilarious and genuine that I…
