the only laser thief scene we need involved catherine zeta jones at her babeliest point (and yes, i get that its meta since she is in O12, but vincent cassel doing parkour doesn’t have the same effect on me):

i took it that they were just trying to destroy the cpu-less hosts, with the belief that none of them had pearls in them? maybe i’m giving the show too much credit there.
david simon loves the slow burn, but this show is leaving an excessive amount of plot resolution to one episode.
mostly agree, when fallon laughed mid sketch it was annoying (because he did it every sketch), but when sandler did it, it was because farley or some other legend did something remarkable and his breaking character was understandable.
being the offering agent on a bond issue just means they’re the bookie, they don’t hold the debt on their books. they do the leg work to market it and set some of the bond terms for end investors, but once it hits the market, they just take their cut of the offer price and walk away.
with this i am done feeding your trolling:
lol, no, I am not proving your point. I never said he was a better person, I said I’d rather be stuck in a room with him than with either Carole Baskin or Jeff Lowe. That does not imply support or approval of any of their actions.
“they are all objectively awful.” - literally the first line of my post. if i had to be trapped in a room with any of the principle characters of this series, Joe Exotic is the least awful option, as he is the least offensive of the bunch.
“like” is a matter of subjectivity. you can like awful things/people, you just need to realize they are objectively awful. to like does not implicitly mean to condone/support.
they are all objectively awful. subjectively he was the least awful. jeff lowe might be the actual devil.
of the big cat people, he is somehow the least offensive asshole of the lot. i don’t think anyone expected that going into this.
maybe i missed something, but i think the only likeable character(s) in it were the lady who lost her arm and the manager who lost both legs. they seemed like the only people who cared about the animals throughout the story.
not going to lie, that monkey scene broke me. waterworks, like niagara falls.
just trying to help people avoid wasting a lot of time on dud TV. its hard work, but someone has to do it.
sorry, dawg, treme is about as pleasant as a wet fart.
Treme is a hard pass. It goes nowhere and is painfully boring.
except for that one episode with eyehategod. that was cool to see. EHG might be the most entertaining live band i’ve ever seen.
i thought it was her, just in early 80's attire to play her mom. in any case, very well cast
that’s probably because it was really, really, really boring.
i know that David Simon projects are slow burns, but this is show is going at a glacial pace. Hoping the pay off for this is more “the wire” and less “treme”
