It does raise the question: what would fans want out of a Marathon revival? I certainly don’t want more multiplayer shooter stuff, but I’m at a loss as to what I would like instead. A lot of the fun Marathon lore transitioned to Halo (as did the rocket jumping!), otherwise the game was pretty much a standard sci-fi

I’ve looked at those, sadly I don’t think they’d fit my iPad. Which would be my preferred method of streaming.  When and if it ever works for me.

As someone who liked Marathon, and knows a lot of others who did, absolutely no-one who ever played Marathon wanted the name to be slapped onto what is basically a very pretty version of Escape From Tarkov.

The Halo maker is returning to its sci-fi series Marathon

Great comment, thanks for contributing.

I think the movie also touches on some really heavy topics (like toxic Black Masculinity, the Nation of Islam, and Farrakhan) that never really get explored, explained, or resolved. I know they just served as points of contention between Black Muslim and Jewish families, but it just felt ham-fisted and like there was

All the reviews I have read have been critical that the movie failed to solve the centuries-long, deeply ingrained, cultural and social issues it, awkwardly at least, tries to discuss. That’s some pretty high expectations for a movie.

Looks like it’s back now. Not sure, but will instragram ban accounts based on algorithms or bad-faith reporting like what happens on facebook? Looks like that may be the case here, and anyone who went straight to “see? the jews are trying to keep him from revealing the ‘truth’” is as bad as the “all sudden health

Her mom has claimed that she chose the name with a “Jews control Hollywood” motivation.

She didn’t even acknowledge the point in which Hitler avidly described Jews as an “inferior race” and included such language in his book Mein Kampf. It’s one thing to say the Holocaust “wasn’t a race thing” when you see Jews as just another form of white people, but to the Jews themselves (and from the direct perspecti

The Root’s always been pretty hotep-ish on Jewish people. See Mallory, Tamika.

Thought kanye and kyrie might have removed the blind spot for the root but it appears i was wrong. “Misconstrued”? Come on, she repeated the claim without correcting it or applying anything she learned from last time.

I actually thought Dave’s monologue was on point. His job is a comedian and provocateur not as an ambassador of goodwill and fairness.

Just as white people are complicit in the hundreds of years of racism in America and elsewhere, so are gentiles complicit in the antisemitism against Jews for hundreds of years. It’s not a European thing or an American thing, it’s a global thing. There is literally history on both groups’ oppression going back

Translation-I’m incapable of empathy in this situation despite the common thread running through it.

Why are Jewish sensitivities denied or diminished at almost every turn? Why does our trauma trigger applause?

I watched his monologue on Saturday. I definitely heard some dog whistles. . .but his jokes didn’t sound like they were coming from a place of hatred.

In this instance, it really feels like the ADL is cheapening the impact of actual antisemitism to an astonishing degree. Everyone is fair game in standup. All of us. Not just with Dave, but with the artform in general. The only policing of what a comedian says in the context of a performance should be the presence or
