I’m in my mid forties, I’m doing really good, I’m in better shape now than I was in my twenties. All thanks to not having a desk job. It’s hard sometimes, it hurts a lot, but it keeps you healthy to keep moving.

Speaking as someone who gave up my ambition and has compromised greatly in my life, I am in awe of you, and you deserve the happiness that is coming your way. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having standards, and the core personal integrity to strive for them is a feature lacking in many, me included.
