I’d allow it. When I hear a vehicle is “built to last” I always think it’s meant in a mechanical sense.

That’s a popular train of thought when it comes to Harley riders, for sure. But I don’t think it holds up to real scrutiny. It’s not about an “image” slowly dying off, because it’s not an image. Harley riders are people who not only DGAF about what you think, what you think will never cross their mind. Harley Davidson

1st gear: Why do you think that the future is, “...so clearly e-bikes and scooters”? E-bikes and scooters are ridden by people who are the cultural antithesis of H-D. They’re for people who live in dense urban areas and seldom take trips of hundreds of miles on their motorcycles. The Harley brand is an icon for a

* No rear seat cup holders.
* No height adjustment in the front seats (even manual).
* A rearview mirror that you dim yourself with the ‘ol flippy bar.
* No “aux” input to the audio system - that was an option for higher trims.

It handles lovely. It’s a striking looking car. I love driving it. But they really skimped on

I’ve gotten worse gifts. Just sayin’.

You’re responding to an author who regularly has articles about obscure tail lights... Your point doesn’t land well here.

Many people are foolish, but when the company is actively misrepresenting the capabilities of the systems in place it makes it easier for that ignorance/foolishness/however you’d like to describe it, to come through.

In what universe is a RAV4 a car with a luxury car with a strong personality? It is literally none of the words he used.

You’d be surprised. Some of the mid to upper range class A motorhomes engines that make the 6.7 Cummins feel like a toy. A lot of them are pushing 1600-2050 lb ft of torque by 1100 or 1200 RPM. The 6.7 Cummins makes peak power at 2400 RPM, the bigger engines match the 6.7's peak power not long after they’re off idle.

You cannot tell that you are towing anything behind you, especially if its a diesel. It’s already 30,000+ lbs, adding another 5,000 lbs or so makes little to no difference at all.

RV Driver: “Wow, this thing is really struggling.”

What I don’t understand about all of this is how did the driver of the RV not notice the drag which must have occurred. Seriously, what kind of RV has the power to, basically, drag this Jeep that fast?

It may be part of media training.

I will say that my boss (and friend) at Chrysler—the best engineering manager I’ve ever known, and undoubtedly one of the best in the industry (Khan, it’s worth mentioning, seems to have a great reputation among his peers as well)—also responded to criticism of the JL Wrangler by

The #1 cause of fuel pumps being slow is that I’m already late to wherever I’m heading.

I see this as moving towards vehicles like sedans from the 1940s - that actually rode much higher than those today. You actually see this happening as we get coupe-ified versions of CUVs, and cars like the Ioniq 5, Polestar2, etc that look like more traditional sedan/hatch form factors, but actually ride higher than a

Did everone really decide getting into and out of non-SUVs is hard? I’m genuinely asking.

So, why aren’t people buying these? Honestly, because people are dummies still smitten with crossovers and SUVs, for some reason. I don’t get it. You wouldn’t really be giving up anything with an Arteon over an SUV you weren’t planning to off-road (and, let’s be honest, most buyers won’t even drive over a curb).

You may laugh, but this is real...

How has nobody suggested Canyonero yet?
