It’s a cautionary tale for anyone that thinks this isn’t the type of place where these things happen or that they are special and therefore these things can’t happen to them and thus they do not need to be on the look out. Your school isn’t special. Your office isn’t special. Your bar isn’t special. Your group of

You know what, Dems, I’ll believe it when I see it.

The one time I’ll regard him as a president... is as the President of the Itty Bitty Mitty Committee.

Old person here. It’s really hard to overstate the influence she had on my generation. Seeing a woman on TV who had a cool job, cute apartment, warm friends, active (but casual) sex life . . . . It was the first representation we saw on TV that made us think, Yeah, I want that life.

My heart breaks for them. I lost a baby a couple months ago and also required surgery because of it (my pregnancy wasn’t ectopic, though) and I honestly didn’t know if I’d ever begin to feel anything other than despair again. It wrecked me.

The moment a child grabs a knife to stab a stranger for nothing and feels no remorse in doing so and yet worries about some jewelry lost in the process stops being a child she is a fucking psycho and should be in jailed forever.

Hi! Here’s a video from the march I attended in Austin. It was fantastic!

Marley & Me was the last dog dies at the end movie I will ever see and that’s the end of that.

I came home from the march and my partner had done all the dishes, finished putting away the christmas decorations, dragged the gnarly-ass tree down to the curb and then vacuumed the front stairs and entryway, vacuumed/mopped the entire house (all hardwood floors), and looked after our special-needs 6 year old all

We’re about the same age, and it was a peak day for me too. To walk down the middle of Pennslyvania Avenue to the White House, past the First Amendment wall on the Newseum, chanting “Whose street? OUR STREET!” was a feeling I’ll never forget. I’m so fired up!

I’m amazed by all the pictures coming in from all over the place. Here’s another one one from Memphis. I’m moved by some of the interviews on the local news. Some of the protesters marched on this very same spot in the 60's.

That’s awesome! I marched in DC with two friends from high school and it was great: I felt a real sense of solidarity, got to know some lovely people, and took part in something important. So it begins!

Speaking of Mr. Aaron Rogers...

My democratic ideals also tell me to raise fucking hell when someone is attacking our civil liberties and frankly attacking our democratic ideals.

All the Muslim men be like “Allah back girl!”.

For real. I can’t STAND Bruce’s music (sorry, just not my thing), but the man is a fucking legend.

This is what happens when the government funds anti-abortion facilities that blatantly disguise themselves as health centers. There are more of these “Crisis Pregnancy Centers” in the U.S. than abortion providers, and states in the Midwest and South are saturated with them. (Check out this mini documentary from Vice

My stars! He’s not an adorable little antebellum dandy throwback? And instead a craven little shitweasel? I think I’ve got the vapors!
