When you just need to eat to be full a grilled cheese is a great choice.

“On the road” was more figurative in my case. When I travel for work I fly to a place and stay there for about a week. After that much fast-food/restaurant food a simple grilled cheese can sound pretty good and I’ll take it wherever I can find it, even if it’s on the kids’ menu.
How does that not apply? It’s about eating out. That is literally the extent of the context necessary for any comment to be applicable. Also, I travel for work so I’ve found myself in similar situations more than you might think. Also, also, where are you quoting the word “frequently” from?
I see it more as an insight into the other side of the equation. Everyone has eaten out at a restaurant, but very few have ever been servers in those restaurants. I disagree with a fair chunk of what the Salty Waitress posts, but I still appreciate the added perspective it gives me.
These people are the worst.
How about if you’re on the road and just want a grilled cheese? I’m not going to buy bread, butter, cheese, etc. to make one in my hotel room, which most likely doesn’t have a stove anyway.
This.
I don’t see a problem with splitting entrees, either. I’ve rarely ever done it, but I don’t see any legitimate reason for people to get up in arms about it.
I say nuke the whales. Smug idiots don’t even have the common sense to evolve legs. They had their chance.
I’ve heard there are loads of companies joining together to create a universal stylus standard so it would work on your phone, your tablet, your latptop, or wherever, similar to how Qi wireless charging is universal. That would mean more manufacturers could create competing products so you’d have choice on form…
My problem is that the implementation would be exceptionally simple, but they don’t do it. They will eventually, then they’ll tout it as the greatest innovation since the transistor, then all their fanboys will say “Yeah, Android did it first, but Apple did it better.” Apple makes good hardware, but their phone OS…
Never. I’ll hate myself until the day I die.
Oh dang. Yeah, well... Makes sense.
It took me a while to realize “conquer” was probably supposed to be “concur.” Auto-correct, I’m assuming. For a minute I thought it was like a Star Trek reference or something. “Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra.”
lol
Literally the only thing he uses his for is viewing PDFs, sending emails, and editing spreadsheets. It does that pretty well for him, but I won’t ever replace my laptop with a tablet until a tablet can truly work on my lap.
I do AV installations for my company and we have Apple TVs set up all over the enterprise. We set it to require a unique 4-digit code every time someone wants to connect. That seems to have precluded any problems like what you’re describing.
“Because Apple decreed that swapping around between multiple wifi hotspots all the time isn’t a major concern for 99% of the user base, so Apple hasn’t made it a priority.”
And it probably didn’t cost $100, either.
Eventually the shine will wear off their brand and people will realize where Apple falls in the computer landscape: They make good hardware and a good OS, but they should be at least 10-15% cheaper. At least.
