She has to keep her clicks up with posts that are proven false by the merest modicum of common sense? It just seems lazy.

Hah! No, I’M sorry you have a sister that does this. A grandparent or cousin is bad enough, but an immediate-family relative is harder to avoid. Good luck.

Jezebel readers.

I see politeness wrt national issues the same way I see peace talks wrt international issues. Politeness, like peace talks, is the most desirable means to an end. If it fails, though, it’s time to take it up a notch.

Every time I hear “soulful cover” I read it as “slower, more runs, more vocal fry, eyes closed.”

Emily, you know well and good this would never work which is why the guy in the video is using a rubber wristband instead of the Tyvek ones festivals use. Come on. You’re better than this. I assume. I don’t know you at all, I just assume you’re better than this. You’re probably better than this.

This trick is to remove the bands without breaking them and was pitched as a solution for the tyvek wrist bands. On that note, no this absolutely wouldn’t work for the tyvek wrist bands, which is why the guy in the video is demonstrating using a rubber one.

Very, very nice. I like this a lot because it gives a very clear-cut way to tell when someone is grieving vs someone who just likes to whine and complain. I’m sure we all know those people who are at the very outermost rings of our personal tragedies who then try to twist those situations around so the attention falls

Note to the author: Next time try just titling the article “Anime.” Then in the body of the article just write “Anime” and have a bunch of pictures from the most obscure anime you can find. Guaranteed 10,000 comments and a million views.

That anime looks sweet. What’s it called?

Pardon my intrusion, but I think we do.

Everyone hated Vizios for years because they were thought to use cheap parts and be poorly built. Now Vizio is the leader of bang for your buck and no one would consider them anything other that solid competitors at a good price.

That is FRIGGIN AWESOME. I’ve always been jealous of Roku owners for that very reason, but I have more streaming devices than I know what to do with so I could never justify buying a Roku. I might buy this to replace our aging Insignia 42" plasma that we’ve had for close to 7 or 8 years now.

I’ve had several rental cars with start-stop motors. Two were sedans (one a hybrid), one was an SUV, and the other was a pickup truck. After a couple of days I didn’t even notice it. I suppose if I were shouting into a comments section about how it’s the end of quality engineering as we know it I might reinforce my

I will bet any number of dollars you can name that A) Taylor Swift has no idea what the launch date coincides with and B) Taylor Swift has almost zero input on what day her albums land. Reeeeeeeeally reaching for some outrage.

So where did the mother get her last name? If it’s from her father, seems like that’s just perpetuating her family’s patriarchy rather than her partner’s. So why not go with the mother’s mother’s maiden name? Oh wait. That probably came from her father. So let’s go back even further and...

Not everyone thinks the way you’re saying they do, either. Yes, there are plenty of racists out there shouting about immigrants ruining this country, but those people are dwarfed by the number of people who just want to support rule of law. If anyone has a problem with immigrants who are here legally then yes, I think

I think you’re overestimating the amount of racism. Yes, it’s there and there’s plenty of it to go around, but it’s a mistake to assume that most of the people who support securing the border are motivated by racism. I think the racists are more vocal and make the news more often than people who think like me.

I see it as a tradeoff in my job. I’m basically on call for emergencies around the clock, but I also have more flexibility than anyone I know. I can work from home or one of three different locations, mostly at my discretion. My company has no official vacation policy, so when I need time I take time. I can start work
