I’ll add that I think pre-mix is the way to go, and the stone-age simplicity of the Trabant is a good thing. On the off chance an oil pump fails, a line gets clogged, or an oil dash light bulb goes out, the engine will lose lubrication and seize pretty quickly.
Yet they have one of the highest car ownership rates in the world! Worth it for the scenery, the hot dogs, and the beer. People too.
Some are pre-mix, others have an oil pump. The Saab 96 was pre-mix, and required math. (See below.) The Sonett II and some 850cc Monte Carlo/GT 96s had an oil injection system and mixed itself during the intake process.
I want so badly to live in that country.
Weird, the 675LT I saw at Cars & Coffee on Saturday had its camera mounted below the nose at the top of the splitter. (A vast improvement over the cyclops featured here.)
