I put so many hours into the OG Battlefront on original Xbox—then I bought it on PC so I could put even more hours into modding it. My favourite maps were the ones that put cut content back in the game, like the Rebel Hovernaut and sixth classes.

Once they get on the ship, they’re trapped several galaxies away, facing entirely new threats. Even the Stargates themselves are different. They never did any crossover episodes like SG-1 and Atlantis did.

There was supposed to be an MMO called Stargate Worlds, but it got canceled for reasons I don’t remember. They even showed it in Universe because in the show it existed as a secret recruitment tool for the SGC.  Would’ve been a nice bit of brand synergy or whatever if it hadn’t been canned.

SG-1 and Atlantis are a lotta fun, and way better than the movie. Your enjoyment of Universe will depend heavily on how much you enjoyed nu-BSG. And other than the opening scenes, it really has nothing to do with anything else, so you could easily skip it.

Last time there was talk of new Stargate movies, they wanted a reboot that ignores the TV shows.  I hope they don’t make that mistake again.
