Thanks! I will look at that! :)

I was always terrible when I wanted to break up with a guy. Don't want to hurt his feelings. Don't want to see him again. Thank the maker I've been married a zillion years.

Same here. The death of one parent, then the lingering death of another, followed by six years of a mix of neglect and abuse. I especially dread both Mothers Day and Fathers Day. Hated Christmas entirely until I got rid of television.

So expensive! Sometimes I dream of what it must be like to work for United Way. I bet they have closets full of ink. Ink by the crate!

I run a teeny tiny community development nonprofit and back to school time is when I buy our pencils, notebooks and pens. It's the one time of the year when all that stuff is cheap at the same time.

Married With Children's first year ratings weren't all that great until a "boycott this smutty show" got going. It was the best thing to ever happen to a show that, until then, not many people were watching.

I agree. Too much surveillance and you'll just drive the kid away.

Yeah, what's wrong with the parents that the kids refuse a phone call? Do. Not. Understand.

Or you could just raise kids who will return your calls when you ask them to?

My personal issue with being stuck behind a wall with trolls is that Jezebel is one of the very few blogs I even read the comments, let alone post on. I mean, every other major site (with Gawker being the other notable exception to me) is just such a completely shitty site for progressive feminists to post on, that I

Ha, thanks. Yeah, back when I was posting the first go round - umm, 4 years ago now? - people complained back then that the whole thing was going downhill and commenting used to be better, etc.

For what it's worth, I always enjoy your posts, weirwoodtreehugger2.

Yeah, I was a starred commenter back in the day, then took a long hiatus to concentrate on school. When I decided I had time for Jezebel I came back, but my moniker Carrie Brooke was gone, and this depressing ghetto of "The Greys" was here. I saw quite a few people I remembered from before seemingly stuck there. I

Yeah, gotta agree with you. I, too, was a starred commenter back in the day. Even had a COTD once - I actually called my husband at work to tell him. Then I took a hiatus to concentrate on college.

It hates children children, but it lovvvvves fetuses.

If there's one thing that'll help this un/under employed mother, it's an arrest record.

Holy crap! So jealous.

What a fucking shitty week I've had. Thank you for posting this. (I get the ironic reference in relation to the article, but gods I love Yes. So much.)

Just another abandoned building. Points for getting me to click and say so, though!

Some restaurants are in old buildings, with tiny bathrooms. Our local pizza place was built in the 1950s and the bathroom is the size of a postage stamp.
