I would do that if Facebook wasn't a huge component of my job. Some of the most persistent vaguebookers and food shot folks (less so the humblebragging) come from people I am connected to through work.

A big part of my job is to create content and manage the social media outlets of the organization I am employed by. Facebook is the biggest part of that, including my own personal profile, which is linked to many of our most important stakeholders.

I would happily be an unwitting participant if it meant the end of humblebragging, vaguebooking and those endless goddamn food pics in my feed.

I read the original article and in it Adams says she did it "for the troops" and the article noted that her dad is in the military. Well, my dad was in the military, too. He fought in Italy during WWII and was in the battles of Anzio, Salerno and Cassino and, no, I wouldn't automatically give up my seat for a soldier,

Her body language and general description, plus the mention that she was glad the cops didn't shop up, led us all to believe that indecent exposure could have been a charge. For a nonprofit. Fundraising.

I work for a nonprofit and one of my counterparts at another nonprofit just held a fundraiser that was a "barely together . . . glad the cops didn't see it" (her words and she winced as she said it) carwash with young women in bikinis. They made $1,000.

Every woman's breasts are uneven sizes, it's just that some differences are more noticeable than others.

More solid information is always better, but eh, how many women would blow it off regardless, because they want perky breasts now? I mean, I'm bad about my dietary habits. Yes, I would live a healthier tomorrow, but I want macaroni salad and fried chicken for lunch today!

Because I am trying to spread the joy known as Hendrick's. Mmmm. Hendrick's.

Cucumber is the perfect garnish for Hendrick's. Cheers!

This made me laugh out loud. I almost spilled my Hendricks and tonic!

Because mason jars are super cheap.

Still can't figure out how to edit a post of my own, so let me be clear:

But all you women, gays, people of color, progressives? Yeah, still a big 'fuck you.'

Some companies already decide not to purchase slave labor, however, for companies with shareholders, those companies are legally required to generate the biggest profits they possibly can. There is a kind of corporate structure that allows for lower profits, should the board decide a certain a costlier investment is

I've known a few people to get into enough trouble that they've been faced with trials/potential trials. My one take away from all of them: Never, ever, ever go to trial. NEVER. So at that point you're just hoping to scrape up enough money to get a competent attorney and pray it's not an election year.

Yes, if production can be made transparent, some companies will improve so that they can use that as a selling feature. It certainly wouldn't eliminate brutal practices, but it would force improvement among many. Right now, though, the whole industry is just a black hole of information for most consumers so you can't

I think what would help is transparency of production. If people could follow the supply chain and then choose to spend more for items in exchange for better working conditions, many would. There's a reason some people will pay extra for those eggs from pasture raised chickens and it's not because they love throwing

HOW DARE YOU?
