Sorry if that came across as if I'm accusing you of blaming anybody. That was more about the way the counter from the scientist in the article is coming across, which is essentially asserting that the scientific consensus is demonizing CO2.

But who's fault is that? Cosmos recently described CO2 both as an essential life requirement, as well as a serious problem. Is it just that people are too indifferent to really listen to an extended argument, and just want to hear the cliff notes and from that simply go "CO2 bad"?

I agree it's not like that, but maybe

Incessant character assassination. At least in the recent trilogy he makes sure the perceived personas of Batman and Bruce Wayne are so incompatible in the minds of the general populace (for instance by being a complete asshole as Bruce Wayne), that anybody claiming one is the other would never be taking seriously.

I've never been in a situation where I had to do a job that I really didn't like in order to make ends-meet. I don't have a fat pay check either, but that's because the jobs I've chosen to do (indie game development, game programming instructor) don't offer the kinds of pay I could garner with similarly skilled jobs

The pretentiousness is awful indeed. I do love to learn how to pronounce concepts and names (such as for cities) in their original languages properly though. I really enjoy learning the intricacies of pronunciation. It's the best part of learning a new language for me, and the first thing I do when I come into a new

The freakish nature of it actually makes it a lot less scary for me. Looks like a fun movie!

We all have stories like that, right? It's always worse when you're younger, don't know what you're doing, and are still working out unrealistic societal pressures that tell guys they have to be experienced Don Juans and women that they have to be immaculate bastions of purity.

For me, suicide is not about wanting to die, it's about not wanting to live.

I'm a game programmer, and most people I know have no conception of what I do.

Following your second paragraph, don't you mean the exact opposite?

Agreed. Anything under 3.5 average is pretty abysmal on the App Store.

QUOTE | "It will start to tail off because the people who play the games will recognize when they're about to be nickled and dimed, and stop playing them." - MMO pioneer Richard Bartle, arguing that free-to-play games have a "half-life" and will soon start to fail.

Basically blocked my entire weekend for this. And I've moved my sleeping times forward 9 hours to PDT :P

Last year I actually downloaded all of the International games and watched them in my own time. Valve has them up for download on the tournament website almost immediately after the game.

The diversity question really doesn't come into its own when asked about specific products though, at least not in isolation. The question I would ask when observing a game in isolation is more along the lines of opportunity: "could this game have been more diverse than it currently is". This because it demands an

As a guitarist xD That's why I listen predominantly to guitar music without vocals, but I started out as a drummer so that part never really left me. I also still approach the guitar from a rhythmical angle.

My brain is like a radio. Leave me alone for more than a minute and I'll start recollecting entire songs by Animals as Leaders, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, and drum along to them. I could probably keep doing that for a few hours, depending on the quality of the seating arrangements.

I'm really glad they went back to this type of game after Ego Draconis. They are so much better at making this. I tried playing Divinity 2 but it was hampered by so much fail (often technical, but sometimes also design) I couldn't bear through it for more than an hour or so. I still reference it for the worst running
