I just went into the Kirk Fanclub link and forgot all about this review. Oh. My. God.

Yeh, I didn't mean the powers are similar, but watching this video makes me feel the same way that game made me feel. Albeit a bit less scared.

Getting a bit of a Clive Barker's Undying vibe from some of these powers. Very cool stuff.

I never got around to playing System Shock 2. Couldn't get it to work on my setup at all back in the day :(

You best carry Survivor: The Interactive Game as well!

I'm not sure I follow your argument entirely, but in GW2 "melee" and "caster" are not opposites. Casters can be short-ranged, and warriors can be long ranged. Since everybody can carry two sets of weapons, everybody can be any number of range-types.

The same choices are possible in a moving situation too, though. I know in GW2 there's a clear difference between moving and dodging. You can channel a spell while moving, but often enough you won't be able to dodge an attack by just moving. You'd have to dodge, and that will cancel the spell. Furthermore, you can't

Gabe is secretly planning on using his steam ecosystem to power himself when he becomes a small planet and enters Earth's orbit.

Reminds me of a song lyric, but I can't remember which artist that said: "It's cool to hate". Google informs me it's The Offspring.

The physical aspect remains important, but one may wonder why it weighs so heavily. In a sport of the mind, it is quite feasible that a master could dominate for decades. Not so in a physical event.

Jumping from "never helpful" to "most evil" in one sentence is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. Also, there is a big difference between not being helpful and creating a situation for people to help themselves. The latter is far more valuable if successful.

Do any of them actually roll up into a ball?

Toys, what else?

Me too. For a while I thought I'd comment on the introduction of faux language like frak or the whole Flotsam (clever name btw) episode in The Witcher. But honestly, who gives a frak.

It is correct apparently. Funny to note that there is a less common spelling of the word with an i, which would explain the two pronunciations.

Not that dumb I think. That's how I pronounce it. Another example of something like that is a preface. You don't pronounce that pre-face, do you? :P

I've yet to run into a GFWL game that didn't support a controller (although I'll admit my sample isn't very large). And it's also on 360 to boot, so that makes it doubly doubtful it would be omitted.

I'm surprised people have forgotton. Carmack mentioned in his keynote speech this wasn't some super duper awesome remake, but that in order to get it more attention, and to satisfy his own curiosity, they've been hard at work putting the VR stuff in there.

Watch the keynote and you'll know what they've done. They've retouched a lot of the ambient lighting, for one.
