Makes sense. Sounds like the time is right to invent a better compass, heh.

It must be a real pain to collect enough hands, and then get all up inside of wood to make this!
Would a gyro compass (spherical compass that always levels out) not solve this problem? Or is there too much interference from whatever electricity is running through the device itself? Maybe a compass would be too fragile, who knows.
I think it's important to separate AC2 from Brotherhood and Revelations, as the latter two were basically yearly installments built upon 2. AC2 is still one of my favourite games, whereas Brotherhood and Revelations were mostly uninspiring (especially Revelations) AC3 is not another rushed game, so I'm expecting it to…
It's a little far fetched I guess. Perhaps it's because a pack of female assassins necessarily dresses in skimpy leather outfits, but you could just as easily attribute that to a nun celibacy perversion.
By far the most amusing option!
Not only that, but it also looks like a 2.5" drive. Those are more expensive by default afaik. That and practically the only place that makes these things flooded last year and hasn't produced much stock will drive the price up heh.
That's pretty interesting. I wonder what the values are for different types of bread. Wholegrain vs. white bread, for instance? I avoid white bread as much as I can, since that's about as processed as bread comes in supermarkets.
I think for any kind of really effective solution, you need to be able to move your character and use skills with one hand, at the same time. That's how I play MMO's on a keyboard.
News flash: life will kill you. xD
Yes. Somebody that is not a programmer made a boring version of wacko in hours or days.
Hadn't read most of the comments, but just went and did based on yours, and I totally agree :P
Guild Wars 2 Beta xD
Besides the obvious increase in fidelity requiring more efficient content development tools, as an Engine UE4 does nothing to increase this cost. It only reduces it.
To be fair, the volumetric fog, rich foliage and destructible environment fidelity impacts Battlefield 3 gameplay quite a bit. You can use a burning vehicle's smoke as cover for an angle of approach, for instance. But indeed, the impacts are not as dramatic as, say, physics in general.
Afaik the best programming jobs are in-house IT work, where you develop tools and offer services to the IT company you work for. People will love you for it and it pays really well generally. Sure beats being underappreciated as an external employee, or working with batshit crazy client requirements and deadlines.
As everybody has obviously stated, an engine is only as good as its games, and Unreal 4 shows great potential in giving developers a highly streamlined content development environment.
Watched it last night as well, and it contains some gore but nothing that isn't functional. it's quite tasteful.
Derivatives of a technology he still pioneered nonetheless.
