How much money is left for other cars after you get slammed by the massive depreciation on luxury cars like the Model S?

exactly. As a potential buyer you have to knock off $1k to $2k in price and wonder what other $1k or $2k problems that they're trying to downplay.
resale is the same as any luxury car... terrible. Tesla lowballs trade-in values for used Model S's by $10k to $15k. If you're going to buy it, just keep it and use the heck out of it and not worry about it until you extracted your value out of it.
The GLE coupe is not the replacement for the ML class. Sounds like Patrick got a little confused with the naming conventions. There currently is no ML coupe to replace since it doesn't exist.
if it involves a new battery pack, i could see $20k to $30k upgrade. I think there was an article a few years back where it sounded like Tesla wanted $40k for a new battery.
i want the opposite for packaging tape ... for it to stick like cement and for it to never peel off.
I think being spread out is part of the problem, but then Tesla doubles down and announces a bunch of things are going to happen with wildly optimistic timetables. Preorders that are years and years early.
You really need your own lobbyists. Become wealthy and start funding a foundation/campaign to loosen the laws to 15 years.
threatening tourists, altering maps, and suing bloggers is not the solution either. If you have a neighborhood association, then why not get that shuttle bus system working and divert vehicle traffic away?
I've had the 1st gen Moto X for close to a year and it's still fantastic. Motorola is really hitting on all cylinders right now. Hope Lenovo doesn't screw it up. The fast android updates are giving Motorola phones a huge amount of value and freshness.
isn't this an Orbital Sciences rocket and not NASA? seems pretty misleading as it would be like calling the Falcon 9 a NASA rocket.
Where do you find a car that does the same as a Tesla? They can charge whatever the market is willing to bear since there isn't any competition. Would you feel better if they raised MSRP even higher to support franchised dealers who just want a cut of your hard earned money?
I think it will improve owner loyalty and get people to trade it into another Tesla down the road. Plus, it will keep up the solid word of mouth and reviews for new car sales. Most car companies have largely abandoned their cars software once the new model year comes along. Tesla just keeps tweaking and improving…
so you're saying it's basically perfect for almost all American drivers...
It's quite amazing how much they can flex. Click this pic from a wired article a few years back where they did extreme testing of the wings to 150% of their expected loads.
i think it's too late for coins or paper bills to evolve. We're increasingly moving to electronic payments for everything.
i imagine NASA primary goal is to meet the 2017 deadline for a qualifying spacecraft. The dream chaser would probably take longer to develop compared to a much simpler capsule design. NASA has limited funding from Congress so they had to make a decision. They probably would have liked to fund all three.
interest in this phone is going to die if they keep making it some sort of game. Too many new phones coming out that can draw people away.
i'm guessing there is no iWatch to launch yet. Maybe in a year or two when it's ready. Unless they want it to end up like the Apple TV....
What does the Viper compete with in the 100k+ price range?
