They may be on the lower end of the mass-produced cookie scale, and I rarely ever buy them, but there are honestly few things I enjoy in this world more than dunking a Chips Ahoy! into a cold glass of milk for one second and scarfing it down. Every time results in an Anton Ego-esque wave of food comfort nostalgia.

Been there too! Though... not a fan of bananas either!

I generally enjoy the Palm Springs area, and love going out to the Salton Sea as well. But the ubiquity of dates is probably one of my least favorite things about that whole area. Extremely overrated. Date shakes and other sweets with dates taste like old-timey deserts before people figured out how to use sugar. Like

LOVE clam strips. Used to get them whenever I’d roll down to Coney Island, or at an Friendly’s i walked into. I was super pleased a few years ago to discover they were sold at Whole Foods, which, coupled with my air fryer, made for the perfect home clam strip experience... But in the last few months... they’ve

I remember reading an article a few years ago where some food writer tried to order chicken cooked medium rare or something at restaurants, and most refused to do it. He was basically saying you had a lot more chance of getting sick from undercooked pork or beef than from chicken, and that the salmonella risk wasn’t

Is it elitist of me to say that “Free XXXX” day is always the WORST day to get that particular item? Like I’m never going into Taco Bell on free taco day or lining up for a free donut at Krispy Kreme. I’d rather just walk in any other day and, you know, spend 2 dollars.

My favorite Bojangles breakfast sandwich is the sandwich I make the morning after eating Bojangles chicken using the leftover Bojangles biscuit. We always get too many and I always eat too much chicken, so there’s always a biscuit or three leftover, and even the next morning it’s great.

I like the Croissan’wich better than anything at McDonalds. And I quite like the BK hash rounds. Probably just as good as McDonald’s hash browns, I’d say.

The only reason I got o Burger King (or Dunkin) for breakfast is the option to have a breakfast sandwich with a croissant. Wouldn’t want it every time, but if I’m only getting fast food breakfast like twice a year, gimme the croissanwich!

I was at a Denny’s in Niagara Falls once, on the Canadian side, and I ordered my usual Moons Over My Hammy, and the description said it came with not American cheese but CANADIAN cheese. Absurd!

Regular Kraft singles aren’t great, but the Kraft Deli Deluxe is in my opinion the best American cheese by far.

I’d go so far as to say it’s generally the best in the $15 bottle range. The $20 Josh bottles are almost actively good. Better than, say Meiomi, too, easily for me.

LOVED a potato cake. Also, the crinkle cuts are relatively new, aren’t they? I remember the homestyle fries being pretty good. Not close to the curlies, of course, but close enough that if the whole family were ordering from Arby’s, we might throw in a small homestyle fries alongside the five curlies.

No pictures of food?! There may be hope for the next generation after all...

I try not to use my phone when i’m eating or sitting at a bar by myself for a bit. But at this point, consciously not using my phone in public feels like some sort of pretentious affectation.

While I like self-checkout for me, personally—I mean the experience of scanning and bagging everything myself and paying without having to engage in the playful banter TJ employees seem forced to do—I HATE it in general. It reinforces, and may even be the genesis of one my my biggest rules/beliefs: When you are at the

It seemed like a weird/dumb flavor, but the Japanese market near me sells sea salt flavor Doritos, and while I initially derided them as just plain corn chips, they’re actually quite good. Good plain out of the bag or with dips. I get them every time i go to that market now.

I make sun tea, except instead of water I use vodka. That should be OK, right?

Unless you’re over 40 and/or live in Hawaii (more on that soon), you’ve probably never tasted a McDonald’s fried apple pie.”
