I thought he meant Charlie.

Maybe Dennis’ spellcheck has a different dictionary than yours. Stop jupming to conclusions.

He died the way he lived: In a hole.

Gas stoves aren’t the issue. If this applies to all gas lines, that also rules out gas heat. That might not matter as much in California, but how could cities in Massachusetts consider banning gas heat?

David Rees. He wrote a book called “How to Sharpen Pencils”, an excessively detailed guide to a very simple task. Then he briefly had a TV series called “Going Deep with David Rees” that was the same basic idea, with a different topic each week. Apparently he’s also friends with John Hodgman, who mentioned that

Elite sex clubs tend to allow multiple angles.

“Phillydelphia?” I know there are a limited number of animal-city puns out there, but My Little Pony did that one first.

Give the AV Club some credit. They didn’t just repost from Reddit. They quoted the Reddit post at length, then added paragraphs that rephrase what was in each quote. It’s more effort for the AV Club, and harder for the readers to understand. Win/win!

Amazon offers multiple grocery delivery services. This is Prime Fresh. Prime Now allows delivery of Whole Foods groceries. It also allows delivery of groceries that aren’t from Whole Foods, but there’s a separate cart for that. There’s also Prime Pantry, which is only for shelf-stable pantry goods.

I buy Organic Valley lactose-free half-and-half at Whole Foods; I’m not sure what other brands are available. Lactose-free whole milk is easy to find. I’ve never seen lactose-free cream.

You said that it’s a Midwestern thing, not the way it’s done in the Northeast. I also live in the Northeast, and I see smoked fish and cream cheese combined frequently. You can buy Ducktrap products at every fancy grocery store in Maine and Massachusetts, and probably elsewhere in New England as well. It’s not just

Ducktrap smoked trout pate is made with sour cream and cream cheese, and you can’t get more Northeastern than Ducktrap. And of course cream cheese and lox are often eaten together, either as individual ingredients on a bagel or combined into lox spread.

Honeycrisp are overrated. One-dimensional sweetness and far too much juice. They cost more than other apples because of branding and marketing. People will even pay more for applesauce, pies, etc. made with honeycrisp, even though there are other apple varietals that are far better for those applications.

Mmm...grapes and gravy...

Penzey’s now sells salt grinders, and special extra-large salt crystals to refill the grinders. I wonder how Caitlin Penzey-Moog feels about that.

Sounds like bad news for the lactose-intolerant among us. Especially when it’s not properly described on beer packaging or bar’s tap list.

This sounds a lot like TBS’ Miracle Workers, about an office of angels who oversee different aspects of the universe. Hopefully it’s better.

Does anyone else use Kinjamprove? It just stopped working, possibly due to the latest changes in site layout. That makes it a lot harder to read the comments; I’m perpetually amazed at what a bad platform Kinja is.

James Kochalka’s Johnny Boo and Glorkian Warrior comics are great for kids. They’re very silly and easy to read. My 5-year-old loves them. (She also enjoys Adventure Time comics, which are much less easy to read and have some more complicated themes, which I think she generally ignores.)

Why would I pay $12/pound for the same kind of meat I can eat at Burger King?
